Good protection and slickness with a pleasant scent. Thanks @IAmTheJody No Open Comb today but will be using a fair amount this month of OCtober. Got the ER Shovelhead in when a youtube viewer asked how it compares to the 1912. Had a great shave and glad to have it but it tends to hold water in the cap when you rinse it and runs down your face. Even that aside prefer the shave of the 1912. Both great razors and won't go wrong with either but 1912 for me is the preference. Find out for yourself which "floats your boat." Friday's Shave Cold Water Rinse Palmolive Shave Cream Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger GEM OC Damaskeene Personna GEM SS PTFE CWR Lustray Spice After Shave The Palmolive Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the GEM OC Damaskeene with a Personna GEM SS PTFE gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
SE SOTD, Oct 1st 2021 Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur, AC 50mm- Mfg 2021, nice mid range, easy to find sweet spot, good design, easy to self align blade. Blade: Feather Professional (3) sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity. AC 50mm Blades are pricier than Gem SS PTFE blades per shave. Soap: Colonel Conk Bayrum, (old version) nice mild scented Bayrum with excellent lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi 24 mm Timberwolf whiskers, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub, great lather painter. Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Skin enjoys cold water rinses, it seems to calm the skin IMO. Post shave: Witch hazel skin cleansing + Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer balm( great stuff + scentless.) Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + blemish weeper = Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Feather Pro. Have some great shaves!

Razor: Rex Ambassador// Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium // Soap: Mammoth Mood Indigo // Brush: RazoRock Barber 24 // Aftershave: Cobalt The Man The Rex is a loan from a friendly member here in Germany. Fantastic razor. Extreme smooth and gentle. 3 great passes and face is BBS with no effort. Mood Indigo…bought the soap blind, never had a sample or something. It was a great buy. The scent is absolutely spectacular. There are the berries mixed with some „cool“ thing, which I think is the Patchouli. Fantastic scent. As the lather…cushiony, stable and yoghurt-like. Love it. Splashed on a clone of „Dior Fahrenheit“. This clone should smell like the Origin Version of the 80‘s or so. I do not know the old Version, but if the scent is almost identical (which many agreed) it is a homerun. Oil and leather, mixed with a bit of mandarine. Wow… It was a lot of fun. Ok, so today was: Hot Shower first, some sort of moisturizing body wash my wife bought. Proraso green pre-shave (some form of this is in every shave), Central Texas Soaps Tobacco and Amber, whipped into a frenzy in the bowl with the Semogue 830, tips are really broken in well on that one. For the hardware, it was the Gem Micromatic Peerless Clog Pruf. Then, I pulled out the British Rocket HD 500 for the ATG pass, the GEM just wasn't doing it:
