My stash. 8 Astra, 6 Polsilver, 8 Gillette Yellow, 5 Derby. Any smaller out there? These will last me many years. PS. Who has the biggest stash? Thanks
I have 600 DE blades plus an open tuck or two that i didn't count. SE blades I have 205 Gem Stainless PTFE and 135ish Schick Proline Artist Clubs. The DE blades were from previous foolishness. I likely won't use them up. The vast majority of my shaves are with SE razors. Normally when I get down to just a few blades I will pick up 100-200 depending on price breaks and shipping costs etc.
If I ever get down to my unopened carton of Rockwell blades, you'll know that I survived the post-apocalyptic covid variant Omega.
I've got about 700 DE blades kicking around, in addition to whatever tucks are opened and on the go. 100 packs of Polsilvers, Astra SP (2), Nacets (2), Permasharps, GSBs and Sharp Stars. If its a Russian Gillette, and I see it for a decent price, I usually pull the trigger. Around 100 Injector blades, 30 AC blades and about 40 GEM SE blades as well. Not near what others have, but enough to have me not so worried about an imminent shaveapocalyse...
I have enough Voskhod DE blades that if I lay them in a straight line, I could drive over them as a bridge from Mississippi to Russia.
I have about 600 approx DE Blades and about 160 approx SE blades for different SE razor systems. I started out with mostly with DE razors & that is why I have a lot of them and last 2 years mostly SE razors I have been using. I do not really need much more for blades in the next 8 years . The blades I have work great with my seasoned technique working excellent. The reason a person can accumulate a lot of DE blades is because it does not make a whole lot sense to buy a few tucks because you can buy 100pcs for the same price or lower it seems. 100 Astra blades for under $10 & when I go to the drug store they want $15.00 for 10 pc Wilkinson sword tuck, you pay a lot for local merchandise sometimes because of local store overheads IMO.
I have three packs of Gillette Platinums, so 15 blades total including the one in the razor. One hundred more are on the way, which will last over two years. Having a vast horde of blades makes zero sense for me, so I just buy 100 packs as needed. Buying in quantities of 100 helps keep the cost per blade low.
