The Van Der Hagen Luxury Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Superior Lather Catcher Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Here is my today’s shave.


Razor: Rockwell 6S on plate 3 // Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium // Soap: Soap Commander Fortitude // Brush: Boti 24mm Captain SHD // Aftershave: Ach.Brito Lavanda

Unfortunately, not a good shave today. My skin has been red and itchy, very irritated. Not the fault of the setup.

Normally the setup guarantees a great shave but not today. Nevertheless is was a bit of fun.

Sunday injector shave, Dec 19th 2021

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Mfg 2021, tame mid range, great design, use a wash cloth underneath when assembling small head parts, this is as small as razor head should be and still give excellent results. Very nice to work my face & basically carefree shaving. I seem to get the shave I like 98% of the time with this razor + handle & blade combination.
Blade: Schick proline P30, excellent blade, sharp & smooth with 6 great shaves per blade it averages for myself for longevity!
Soap: Razorock The Dead Sea, nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities.(misted)
Brush: Yaqi 22 mm Sagrada Familia 2band badger, this is a nice brush to work the face IMO, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips with a nice display, nice scrub, great lathe painter + not a lather hog.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock The Dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(Balm) + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur 50mm + a Schick P30.

Hi Paul. The funny thing is, I did not have the scent notes. Fran at PAA sent the image below today. It is a little chopped up but you can see the notes.
So far it has been my favorite scent from their Advent Calendar. It is really good. For each day, they include a discontinued soap and splash with the little write ups like you see below. They missed putting this one in my set and accidentally put a duplicate copy of the Lime Ginger Tea Tree write up with this soap.

Nevertheless, I think the vanilla & prickly pear dominate but the sage and woodsy notes on the back end make it smell great to me.

 

Such a cool looking set Tim. I haven't used any of the products but they look great.
