Epoxy Finish

    Hey you guys,

    Been fooling around with finish for bases...simple 2 part epoxy seems to be working well.

    Still using CA for the set. Local Cherry.

    Beautiful! I have worked with epoxy and like it, but find it challenging. You did a great job with it.

    That looks great. How do you apply the epoxy, so that it doesn’t run or drip?

    Thanks....I use a foam roller that is cut into small pieces. Just dip it in the epoxy and apply. It self levels, and bubbles are easy to spot and eliminate. I tried to use CA on the bases as well as the set, but epoxy is much easier.
    ( for me anyway )..no issues with running or dripping....I am using West System simply because it was left over from a boat build.

    Haven't used in decades....but did help my father with a catamaran repair long ago using some of their products.
