I guess M/M improved on their formula. In the beginning, Stirling had an off-putting smell that hindered their reputation. Obviously, they fixed the problem and became one of the best artisanal soapmakers.

Yes, it was expensive. I paid $14 USD each for 10 packs of Schick Injectors and Schick Injector II. The twin blades were what I was after. Shipping was $25 USD. The seller charged $20 shipping for each item, then refunded me $15 since I ordered two items. I need to put a sChick blade in the Type J and compare, but am hesitant to pull out the blade now as I've only used it 3 times. I think I can load a sChick and put the other, after careful drying, into the loader, can't I? Then I could do comparisons with a both blades being relatively "fresh."

Thanks Gary. It is true that the simple setups give great shaves. It was one of my most inexpensive shaves. I won the JR #290 and the Mühle R102 in raffles. Cremo and Arko are bargain items witht Stirling Bay Rum as the most expensive item at under 14 dollars.

Thanks, Eric, but my reason for trying to cancel was my belief that my V2 Supply with the three dot plate couldn’t be improved. But I guess I’ll see. I have the Parker adjustable which my grandson gifted me, and it is quite mild, even opened up all the way. But that’s what makes this hobby so fascinating. Enjoy your shaves!

I believe you can reload a non-Schick Injector blade into a Schick magazine w[o any problems.

Fabulous shave kit, commentary, and accompanying photography, as usual Barry! Sharpologist gave a very positive review for your razor. Glad your shave went well! Is your steel mill in Sheffield? Just curious as I own a number of Sheffield steel products. The steel is superb! Enjoy your weekend, my friend!

I just had to get a Snmirn when I first learned of it. A comfortable well-styled adjustable at that price is astounding. I particularly like the magenetic top cap. Nice shave!

Yes, you should be able to. Push down on the unused blades with something like a small screwdriver and slide the used one back into the injector.

Absolutely! I do that all the time with Schick B-20 injectors which don’t come with a loading prong on the magazine. I have been transferring them into an old vintage Personna magazine for years. Works well!

Your Right..The Snmirn is a comfortable well-styled adjustable for a very reasonable price.
Like any mass-produced product it can be a hit 'n' miss purchase, fortunately for me my Snmirn purchase was a hit.;).. The razor has a good balance, the adjustment mechanism works well, and stays on the setting of choice with no movement. The blade alignment is equal on both sides I have to admit i was doubtful at first when i seen the 'magnets' thinking it was just a gimmick to catch the attention of the consumer, however, the magnets have work really well holding the top cap firm with no indication of it movement or coming off during the shave....How long it'll last time will tell, but for now it holds the cap in place without feeling nervous that the blade will dislodge itself whilst shaving...Take care, and enjoy your weekend. Yours-Barry.
