Razor: Yaqi V2 "Tile" 316 SS head with a Yaqi Razzo Rocket handle- nice mild razor with a standard Gillette DE blade, today I installed a Kai blade which is a wider blade and did it ever pick it up a notch in aggression & efficentcy with more blade feel, it became a Mid range razor with the Kai blade. Looks like Yaqi has their QC improvement on the Version 2 tile head IMO.
Blade: Kai SS blade(1), sharp & smooth with excellent longevity, Extra wide blade by 9/1000 of a inch to a standard Gillette blade, nice blade to bump up mild razors and can give a outstanding shave to boot. Good to have a tuck or 2 for those mild razors we all love to use more often IMO.
Soap: Speick stick, nice mild spicy scent with excellent lather qualities + triple milled. I'm glade I bought this soap months back.
Brush: Yaqi Robin 24mm boar bristle 1st use, excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle tips, excellent scrubber, great painter. The brush needs some more use to bring the greatness of the boar brush out. 70-80 % broke in from the 3 day cold water treatment.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock American barber with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 weeper(operator error)= excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Tile razor with a Kai SS blade. Surprizing shave this morning, blades can make a difference IMO.

Maaaaan, great great shave. The Weber with the blade was like a pillow on my skin. The lather was luxurious and the Eucris matched the soap nicely. Very good.

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #313 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Treet SE Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Classic Vanilla AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

These Gillette Platinum blades are fabulous - a friend of mine sent me a tuck of them along with a nice little brush. Talking about brushes, this Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole synthetic is not only a beauty it’s a hell of a lather maker. Fernando’s Grapefruit Cinnamon soap smells so beautiful - the grapefruit definitely dominates the scent, the tallow formula gives it such terrific lather that has lots of slickness, and the skincare can’t be better. The Nivea Cool Kick balm’s scent doesn’t really appeal to me but the performance is great, and the Groom aftershave is made right here in Montreal, and it smells so old school the way I love it. What a brilliant three pass BBS shave this was!

Razor: Razorock 2nd generation 316 Stainless steel Lupo.72 , excellent mid range, excellent design for clamping blades, easy under the nose area. I had a close shave yesterday and there was not that much stubble but this Lupo.72 did the job wonderfully & had a carefree shave to boot (you can not get much better than that!).I'm a daily shaver!
It's in a league of it's own for a DE razor mid range razor, for cost of a SS razor & over all performance. I get consistent good shaves with this RR Lupo.72 for over a year now (54 weekly shaves).
Blade: Gillette Astra SP, excellent blade, sharp & smooth with good longevity + cost per shave.
Soap: Razorock Lavender, nice masculine lavender scent with excellent lather qualities. On 3rd tub of great soap.
Brush: Yaqi purple haze 24mm synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips ,gentle scrub, excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(balm)+ scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette Astra SP blade.
