Heard some nice things about Back Roads Gold here on TSD and a few other sites. Had Chris work on the FH, did a great job. 12 day turn, shipped out on 1/6, received yesterday 1/18. The FH base, handle and knob were still in great shape, so we decided to only clean and thoroughly polish, but replate the head in Palladium, matches very nicely. Some thoughtful customer appreciation additions upon arrival, razor in a canvas bag, neatly boxed/wrapped, a few extras (soap samples, Gillette Silver Blue blade pack, etc.). Also had him work on a Gillette Single Ring....coming up in a SOTD post soon. Happy customer.

 

A pleasant dry shave last night so sorry if this is not to be posted here - sometimes I just want a nice electric shave before bed since I work so early next day aces!

Nothing wrong with an electric razor at all. I start my day with my Gillette trimmer on setting zero to keep my beard nice and short.

 

I finished the old one up. I really didn't like it that much. She thought I did and bought me another one for Christmas.

This Doppelganger Gold is some great stuff. I smells identical to well aged Creed Royal Mayfair. A brand new bottle of Royal Mayfair has overly piercing eucalyptus, but not this version. It's a really great rose, lime and gin combo that goes pretty easy on the eucalyptus.

 

Prefer the soaps of the cream.

I know the website is still up to order, but I have emailed them 3 times in regards to products last year and they failed to respond to a single email.

Early Morning Shave,

The Treet Dura Sharp has really surprised me this week feeling smooth & sharp and have paired together with each razor...These are tremendous blades considering the inexpensive cost of them....I find the Treet Dura Sharp's smoothness & longevity marginally better than the Treet Classic but overall my reacquaintance with both blades has been a pleasant experience so far....Next week i will be revisiting the Treet Black carbon blade.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.
