So after trying a blue carbon blade this morning, and thinking it was better in my open comb, I was thinking of trying carbon blades in those older razors. I have some treet black beauties on the way, but have never used them. Does anyone know if they are thicker than modern Stainless blades? Also, does anyone know which blades, either SS or carbon, that are thicker? Thanks in advance for any input!
Could be wrong but I don't think they're appreciably thicker, though some out of the wrapper are sharper than most stainless (for a few shaves).
Not current but here are some measurements. https://drive.google.com/file/d/11hRl4dmAhgrQtuWJM5pTR1onmUxvwv89/view?usp=drivesdk Note that thickness and rigidity are not 100 percent correlated. The whole thickness subject was a focus when a lot of folks started claiming that Kai blades are way thick which they're actually not. Sent from my Pixel 5a using Tapatalk
