Today starts a small challenge I'm participating in.....one blade, for hopefully one month. Schick Proline P-30 seemed like the better choice in my world, I have 3 razors to choose from for the journey.

I have a new lid for my Williams Mug. It was crafted by Eric in Maine. Thanks, Eric.

The Williams Mug Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #424 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready 1924 Razor with a Personna GEM SS PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Wednesday morning:

    L’Oreal Men Expert Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/new Gillette Platinum
    Clube Artesanal Peppermint Glaciers SS
    Prep ASB
    Floid Vigoroso AS Splash

It was either user error on my part or this soap is not that great because I had a tough time working up a good, proper lather with this Peppermint Glaciers soap. The scent is nice but it took me at least five minutes of swirling and rewetting my brush to get the lather where I wanted it and I noticed that this soap definitely lacks slickness as well as skincare compared to most of my other South African soaps. The only other good thing about this soap is that it has a mild menthol sensation but my skin felt a bit dry and irritated. Thanks to the Prep the dryness and irritation disappeared right away, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave went on icy cold along with its delightful old school European barbershop scent. The new Gillette Platinum blade ensured a great shave despite the soap’s poor performance.

Have a good day - be well and safe![IMG]

A much better shave this morning than that of yesterday. Fine paint job from the Grandpa's Barbershop off both passes. Cheeks&sideburns good job, especially so on the right side(which has been giving me fits of late). Had to be careful at North Porcupine, as that is where I got my bad cut yesterday. I did better in that area but still not 100%, as some red stuff appeared, but not nearly as bad as yesterday. Nice job at South Porcupine. Cactus also, however it's always tough around the ingrown hairs. Super Duper Excellent.
