Another quick shave. Rosie still doesn’t like being crated for too long.

I found it on Etsy. The manufacturer has had a long career as a machinist and decided to make his own razor. I am very happy with it, particularly for being so reasonably priced for a handmade domestic razor.

 

Pre-shave: Van Der Hagen Shave Butter
Lather: DentonMajik Unscented with HC&C Barbershop fragrance oil
Brush: PAA Atomic Rocket
Razor: PAL Adjustable (5, 4, 3, 5)
Blade: Supply Black Label (1)
Post-shave: Omega Alum Stick and HC&C White Star unscented balm with HC&C Barbershop fragrance drops



My injector razor collection has grown steadily and I have acquired most of the more common ones. The PAL Adjustable was one that I had been looking for and finally found. I also have Schick, Parker, and Supply adjustables and this ranks up there with my favorite, the Schick M1. I like the long handle of the PAL perhaps a bit more but I'll still give the shave quality to the Schick but there isn't much separating them.

I mixed Barbershop fragrance oil into some DentonMajik unscented Game Changer base and was able to whip up a very nice, well-hydrated lather that went on silky smooth. The Supply Black Label blades are the best in the business and I've taken to using them in just about every injector razor I own.

I ended up with a BBS result. 9.5/10. It took a little extra pickup work to get it done. I guess this is a fairly mild injector. Happy shaves all!

It felt so good to use my Arko stick this morning - that soapy/citronella/lemony scent is a favourite of mine, the lather was so thick, rich, and slick, not to mention how comfortable the postshave feeling was. The Fino balm delivered great on the soothing as well as the moisturizing, and the Polar Ice aftershave is a Canadian barbershop classic with a beautiful old school scent that I love and my wife hates. Three passes left me smoother than a glass table top!

Williams Wednesday's Shave

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Semogue Owners Club Boar Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 3D Injector Razor with a Black Label Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Cella ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Williams Wednesday Shave

Soap: Williams with a little boost from Kiss My Face unscented cream
Brush: PAA Phantom Aerolite
Razor: Henson AL13
Blade: Astra SP (4)
After: CeraVe cream

Today I used non-vintage Williams, which makes a great lather if I give it a little boost with Kiss My Face cream. Without the boost, the lather dissipates too fast. The big Phantom Aerolite brush made a huge amount of thick lather.

I am enjoying a week with the Henson AL13 razor. It does a great job for me with the recommended Astra SP blades.

 

I read once where someone said Polar Ice wasn't too cold. Makes no sense. What do YOU say?

Razor: Yaqi gold Melon head with a Razorock handle, nice mild to tame mid range, nice with a Kai blade, easy going shave.
Yaqi Melon head is designed similar to the Grand shave King self lubricating razor of the 1940's, great razor for a DFS++.
Blade: Kai SS extra wide(7) excellent blade, sharp & smooth with excellent longevity, great for more blade feel.
Soap: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice vanilla light tobacco scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi Sagrada Familia 24mm Tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups + cold water rinse razor(testing).
Post shave: Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BbS + no irritation + 1 weeper =excellent shave with my Yaqi melon head razor with a Kai SS blade.
