    very cool.they have all the right bits to be close to nos.the popular is the rare one .one of the last made with the later 430030 baseplate.

    Thanks, I think this one is the earlier version that had the aluminum handle.

    I have read that the Brillant de Luxe is an evolution of another East German razor I own, The ERFA Rasant.

    I sent out a few razors for plating to backroads gold and now the weight begins.

    The 41 aristocrat had plate loss on the handle
    The 59 gold rocket had plate loss on the head
    The no47 popular was broken and had plate loss now its repaired but i decided to make it gold.

    There were three sets made, jade, coral and natural pearl. Looks like you have the jade set. I have the coral set (US), same head as the Bostonian, nice shaver.
