  1. My sweetie got me one of them DNA tests from Ancestry(dot) com. They keep sending me updates. I know my geneology back to the late 1600s here in upstate NY (Delaware County) all farmers. The DNA test results is like icing on top!

  6. Thanks Barry. That's a JR Brush and it is #290. The guy who made this brush and other different brushes is Jim Roe and goes by Jayaruh on The Shave Den.

  10. Excellent setup Hogie. I just want to say that we try to refrain from socio-political issues of the day. With that said, I agree with your stance. I know there is so much stuff going on in the world, but let's leave it outside the thread. Thanks.

  11. Thank you Daniel....this soap(Razorock Gold)has always "treated me well"
Thank you Joe....the Cactus miss was embarassing-I'll fix that tomorrow.
  12. No Aisle for you? To paraphrase the Buddy Holly lyrics-"You Don't Know What You'll be Missin"
  13. Somehow I'm related to Abraham Lincoln(my mom's side).
  14. I’ll chime in here. I have had many slants and the one I kept was the Fatip Lo storto originale. This is an inexpensive razor that shaves WAY above its pay grade. Fact is, the basic Fatips are known to be very harsh shavers. The slant is not.
  15. Thanks for the tip! Looks like I'll be getting the slant then.

New rabbit hole, here I come..
  16. AAA Shave (April/Adjustable/Alighieri)

    Razor: Snmirn
    Blade: Wizamet Super Iridium
    Brush: Omega 49 boar
    Soap: Stirling Alighieri

Tonight I turned to the Snmirn adjustable razor, the affordable razor that needs another vowel. For $10 you get a true adjustable razor that delivers a very fine shave. It is a mild razor, but it delivered a BBS shave on my dome in two passes with minimal pickups. That is some high-end performance in my book.

  17. Very nice shave, pic and post Eric. The Snmirn came on the scene awhile ago. Getting a good shave with a budget friendly razor can't be beat. I tend to go for more efficient razors.
  18. very cool.i like my aluminum brit tech, but find it a bit light.:)
