I like brushes. I like artisan brushes, modern manufactured brushes, and especially old restored brushes. I have been planning to put them on display for a long time and I finally have them up. These are spice racks that I ordered from https://www.outofthewoodsoforegon.com/ made of alder wood. I got unfinished ones and stained them to match the bathroom cabinets. Brushes didn't stand up well on the slats so I made solid shelves out of thin basswood from a craft store. I finished it all with spray lacquer. I thought I would have plenty of space, but I have them filled up with just 31 brushes. I have about 16 more that are waiting for knots or restoration. I will have to come up with a rotation schedule.
How true, I love them all, but you know I find myself frequently reaching for the humble red and white Ever Ready brushes on the lower left shelf. I have a matching pair red+white and white+red, and waiting to be restored, white+black and white+blue. They are a great size with soft 22mm knots and they feel great in the hand.
If they had those 2 brushes in black & white they could of been called "Night & Day" nice collection of brushes. I also have a lot of brushes I like to keep in eye sight, I out of site out of mind as the old saying goes. Thanks for sharing.
