Razor : Gem Damaskeene 1912 open comb- Mfg 1912-15, nice tame mid range. This is the 1st model that all other 1912 models for many decades was based from with minor improvements as time and new models of the 1912 came out, excellent shave this morning. Very lucky to find this model up here in Northern, Alberta Canada. Very rare find indeed.
Blade :Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable .
Soap :Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore, nice vanilla scent with a light Tabaco scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush :Yaqi Moka 24mm synthetic, Excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave :Razorock Santa Maria del Fiore with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + minor irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gem 1912 Damaskeene OC with a coated Gem blade.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Chantry Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: yaqi 24mm naples synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl : Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Clubman Pinaud Shave Soap.
Blade : Chinese Gillette Super Blue. (D2)
Razor: Baili BD191.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Benjamins Mentholated Bay Rum./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

Early morning shave.

I haven't used the clubman Pinaud soap for a while and forgot how much a great in-expensive soap this is.. This is almost 'croap-like' soap it doesn't need blooming before mixing providing a slick protective lather, in no time, i like the scent too, it's not over powering, and the post shave feel is incredibly good. What more can I say? apart from it's a great inexpensive shaving soap.

Being on a budget the vast majority of my shave set ups are very inexpensive, it just goes to show you don't need to pay extortionate prices for 'Super-Dooper' artisan shaving soaps/creams when they are plenty of perfectly good shaving products on offer that are equally as good if sometimes better at a fraction of the price.

The Club Pinaud soap is just one of many...As always it's down to individual choice what people they buy & use...YMMV.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

Today's injector was my Dad's razor. He made the wooden handle for it back in the 60s sometime.

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the SlimGem 3D Printed Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Schick E3 with a Personna Injector Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

I think the close/reopen happed many years back.

I saw news that shocked me at first-Chris Bailey died. Then I saw it was a different Chris Bailey than the one who advertises for Fine Soaps("faaaaane.....get it").

This Chieftain soap has a scent that blows me away - it’s so beautiful. If I’m not mistaken it’s a clone of Hugo Boss Bottled, it’s tallow based like all of Fernando’s soaps, the lather is so thick, rich, and slick, not to mention how great the skincare is. The Fino balm is another South African treasure, and the Max Disinfecting aftershave from Bulgaria stings like hell for a second but then it feels so soothing and although its scent is nice it doesn’t disrupt the gorgeous fragrance of the Bleu de Chanel. This Shark blade is pretty much finished but it gave me one last hoorah with a terrific three pass BBS shave!
