It's Good Friday so I decided to use my #1 brush that has the Celtic Cross design and a cross medallion on its base in keeping with the Christian significance of the day. I also picked out the Fatboy to make it a Good Fatboy Friday.
It is very fitting that this shave completes my commitment of 8 Arko/Adjustable shaves on Good Friday. Now, I am free to use any shaving setup for the rest of the month.
On with the shave post, the JR # 386 is really soft so I have to load it without pressing it in the Arko container, otherwise, the soap gets trapped in the bristles. As always, Arko produces a great slick lather to help the razor easily glide on my face.
I kept the Fatboy on setting 9 for my two passes with touchups that produced a BBS shave without errors. I think the blade may only have 2 more shaves because I had to do some buffing throughout this session. The blade wasn't rough, but the buffing is a clue that the blade doesn't have that many shaves left.
The alum gave me a little stinging on my neck, but none on my face. Splashed on the witch hazel and that wonderful Clubman Classic aftershave and I am good to go. Have a great day!
