Shave 29/30. The Bic didn't shave as close, so I had already enough stubble to shave properly. No major issues, the blade has seen better days but it did the job. I'll try to squeeze one more shave with it, to complete the focus. I used some sort of as gel for a change, it's decent but the scent is not really my cup of tea, still usable though. Happy Easter, gents, and have a great day!
Shave was passable with my Rose Gold Parker Semi-Slant using a Feather blade (3). I think the Fatip was a nicer shave. I got a bit of burn. This razor is more aggressive than the fatip. No leakers that the alum couldn't handle. Nice Lavender cream whipped with my Proraso synthetic brush. Land Ho balm. So, a Feather is not a perfect blade for me in this razor. I need more work perfecting my technique (obviously). I was careful but, not careful enuff...the burn!
Still had a decent shave Hogie. Feathers are great but I found that they degrade quickly compared to other blades. After the 3rd use is when it starts to lose its sharpness. I didn't get past 4 shaves with them. However it is a ymmv situation.
Yup, we have a sunrise service and then the church lady I’m married to drags me off to the main one 2 1/2 hrs later! The married man’s burden every Easter!
Yes, I really could change at 2 uses. These blades do cost more than most but, they are still less expensive than the $3 each carts I used to use. I paid $.50 a blade so, I will start tossing after 2 shaves like I do other blades. Now, I should let my face recover for a couple days and let the beard grow out for at least 2-3 days. I must decide which razor to use next...maybe the Fatip again. That was a pleasant shave. Time to pull out a fresh Feather blade! Or back off and use up some of them other blades I have yet to try.
I got a reminder of how my shaves used to go when I was using them cartridge razors. I always got burn... but, I didn't prep like I do now. I hate getting the burn! I used to put off shaving for a week at at time due to "The Burn". Shaving is so much nicer now. Now, back to perfecting my technique!
