I read the other day that one difference between the Shulton and P&G versions is the cap color...red for New Spice, grey for Old.
The new OS is still a good AS, but to me, the scent seems to be a bit sweeter and doesn't last as long as Shulton. I guess you could say the the Shulton has a spicier scent.

Menthol Monday: Here are the menthol atom bombs I used today! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 6 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash Man oh man oh man, I’m absolutely frozen from this Glacial Citron soap and aftershave. The scent is beautiful - it’s a blend of lemon, grapefruit, along with some tangerine, the lather works up so easily, it’s rich and super slick, the menthol sensation is off the charts, and the skincare is perfect. Needless to say the Prep soothed, moisturized, and kept the chill going in my face while the Glacial Citron aftershave brought the freeze to another level. Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 13 Stirling Glacial Electric Sheep SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum This is a setup that requires a strong tolerance to intense menthol because otherwise it can be uncomfortable. The mentholated pre shave soap from Stirling is chilly but it feels warm if you compare it to the Glacial Electric Sheep soap which has such a beautiful lemony/citronella/eucalyptus scent as well as fabulous lather, the menthol kick feels like Siberia in midwinter, and the mutton tallow formula gives it such soothing skincare. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave were such a perfect finish. Three passes did the job superbly for me - what a brilliant BBS shave this was! Have a good week - be well and safe! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barbershop Super Speed/Shark day 6 Stirling Glacial Obsidian SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum My face is going to need all day to thaw out from all this menthol - even the mentholated pre shave soap felt really icy. The Glacial Obsidian’s beautiful black licorice scent filled the bathroom, my Yaqi Barber Pole whipped up such rich, mega slick, protective lather, the menthol sensation froze me to Kingdom Come, but the skincare was perfect. The Prep and the Snake Bite aftershave were a wonderful soothing, frigid finish. These Shark blades from Egypt perform really well - today’s shave was another three pass BBS work of art! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Shark day 13 Stirling Glacial Spearmint SS Stirling Glacial Spearmint ASB MSC Frosted Spearmint AS Spray I hope Rod will bring back this Glacial Spearmint soap and balm because they’re both so awesome. The soap is a tallow based jewel with such a gorgeous spearmint scent that fills my bathroom, the lather is absolutely fabulous, the slickness from it is great, the menthol sensation is lethal, (in a good way!) and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Spearmint balm has that same lovely scent as the soap, it’s so cold as well as soothing and moisturizing, while Fernando’s Frosted Spearmint aftershave smells exactly like the Glacial Spearmint not to mention how frigid it is. Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Shark day 6 Bundubeard Vanilla X 3 SS Prep ASB Fine Snake Bite AS Splash Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick Bleu de Chanel Parfum Holy Toledo, what did Jaco put in this soap, liquid nitrogen? Honestly, it’s so bloody cold that it competes with any of the Stirling Glacial soaps. It’s glycerine based with a very nice vanilla scent, the lather is so thick, rich, as well as slick, the menthol sensation hits like a ton of bricks, and the skincare is excellent. The Prep’s moisturizing and soothing feeling is so wonderful, not to mention how frigid the Snake Bite aftershave is. Three passes left me frozen stiff and so BBS! Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Shark day 13 Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade SS Prep ASB Stirling Glacial Strawberry Lemonade AS Splash This Glacial Strawberry Lemonade is one of the newest scents which Rod launched last spring and I sure hope that he brings it back this year because I absolutely LOVE it. I would say that the strawberry is more of the dominant note but you can still pick up the lemon - in any case it’s a gorgeous scent. The soap lathers so easily - it has so much slickness, the menthol sensation is so potent, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep enhanced the soothing and moisturizing while the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave went on frigidly cold with its lovely, long lasting scent.
