English Leather AS Splash

My goodness, another damned snowstorm and I wish I could stay home in the warmth. My Plissoft synthetic whipped up terrific lather from the Palmolive Classic cream - this is the version from Italy which is pretty much the same as the stuff that’s sold everywhere else in Europe. I love the clean, soapy scent, and it’s so easy to lather, the slickness is great, not to mention how soothing it is. The CutiBase moisturizer is a very good balm, and the English Leather aftershave smells so nice - it’s one of the first aftershaves I used when I first arrived here in Canada. I did only two passes but I still ended up silky smooth!

It has been a while since Jaws came out.....man what a razor. It is very smooth and efficient. The Palmolive has not been squeezed in a while and I had forgot what a great soap it is.

Three very nice passes this morning with a finish of Stetson.

Fantastic shave set up Daniel!...The Dorco ST-301 are a firm favourite of mine, as are the Prime Platinum which is one of my favourite DE blades.

Thanks, Barry! They are very smooth blades, my first impressions are very positive! I have some Primes lined up too, I'll be trying them soon.

Razor : Gem Junior 1912 Parade with baton handle variant- Mfg 1943, excellent mid range. feels perfect in my hand, shaves like a champ, Gem Mfg(ASE) made millions over the decades. Very popular razor IMO for its time,
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (4) Very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice mid range citrus scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Atlantis 24mm knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent lather painter. Great handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : (Italian barber) Razorock Amici AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my Gem Jr 1912 parade with a Coated Gem blade.
