    Good morning!

    Straight Shave #359
    5/8 Dovo Special
    JR # 290 Cashmere Brush
    Proraso Green SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 34.5 hrs

    Headshave:
    Mühle 102 (not pictured)
    JR # 290 Cashmere Brush
    Proraso Green SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Dome Stubble: 48 hrs

    Faceshave:
Did a 2.5 pass for a near BBS shave. Did nick myself in the same hinge area as before, but I think I felt a burr on the blade and believe that's what caused it. The blade felt ok to shave, but I will have to go to the films to make the edge more smoother and keener. Oh well, that 3 razors that I have to use films. I will have some work to do one day. Lol!
I thought that I was going to finish the Proraso on the face shave but did not so I decided to do a headshave to try to use up the soap. Three passes gave my a dolphin smooth dome.
Applied the alum and no feedback on the dome, but some on the neck. Finished with the witch hazel and the matching aftershave on my face and head. Oh yes, my Proraso was Fitzgerald. Next on my list is the Razorock Classic to sink into the abyss. Have a great day.

Definitely! However, I am trying not to buy new soaps this year. I want to knockout at least a few more soaps this year. Razorock Classic is next, than Gentlemen's Nod Zaharoff Signature Series, Fine Accoutrements Italian Citruss and Stirling Christmas Eve. After they are gone, I will still have 10 pucks of soap left, 5 Stirling samples and a few samples that Joe C picked me and I am not including my Tabac stick and my Mühle shave cream. So I am still good for at least at least 3 years before I really need to purchase any more soap. However, my go to brand will be Stirling. I may lean toward shave creams in a tube like Bigelow, Spieck, LaToja, Palmolive, etc. because they are less expensive and easier to lather than regular shave soaps. I also want to try other shave soaps like TOBS, Moon Soaps (did like Havana), Wet The Face ( company on Long Island) and others.

same setup as yesterday + your tips = perfect shave
no alum block bite, no discomfort :)

i bloomed the soap, wet the brush. loaded as i normally do. AND i started over. put some more water on soap, loaded again. then face lathered.
thank you for sharing your experience, i learned that tabac really loves water :D

Thanks Jeff! It is rare that I got bit, but at least I knew why it happened and was able to let everyone know. It's important because it is a great learning tool when we share why things don't go right with a shave.

You’re spot on, Gary. Shake Sharps and Speed Shavers are my favorite vintage safety razors, hands down! Matt’s (@120inna55 RIP) beautiful photos of his Durham Enders Speed Shavers three or 4 years ago got me interested and I started collecting. Wasn’t able to get a butterscotch handle until about a month ago. Now have the complete Enders line from the 1930’s Enders Speed Razer to Durham Enders Speed Shavers of the ‘40’s and 50’s.(5 razors)

Well. I have yet to try it in cold weather.....perhaps I should borrow @Trigger's keys and experiment with it in his lab.
