  1. Excellent shaves, gents!
  2. The bride and I are spending tomorrow celebrating Orthodox Easter with Serbian friends! We do this every year. Resurrection squared! :D
  3. Lovely, R41 shave, Barry! They are great razors! I have the 2011 model, and enjoy using it as well, Great shave! Nothing better than the R41 with a Feather! Glad it went well! I noticed yo still have the original handle. I swapped mine out for a Weber Bulldog handle. Like the balance and grip much more. Found the original slippery with certain very slick soaps. Enjoy your Saturday.
  4. Thanks, Daniel.

    Straight Shave #360
    7/8 Henckels Friodur
    Stirling Boar Brush
    Razorock Classic SS
    Old Spice AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 47 hrs

It's a nice day on LI so I decided to use a nice shave setup. I kept the brush soaking overnight so I didn't have to wait to use it. The Stirling Boar whipped up a great lather. My only problem with this brush is that it sheds. I must have lost about 40 bristles since I have had it for about 2.5 years.
Anyway, I love the Friodur because it really gives a fantastic shave. It's my 17th shave since I honed it and it is still quite sharp. I only needed 2 passes to give my a very nice shave. I am happy to report that I didn't make any blood escaping my face and neck. There was some alum singing on my neck, but it wasn't uncomfortable. Gave myself the witch hazel treatment and followed with the Old Spice. What a super session this morning! Have a super day guys!
