    Garlic Herb Cream Cheese

I’ve seen (and liked) ready-made cheese spreads like this at the supermarket, but they are pricey. This is inexpensive & easy to make.

    Ingredients

1/2 pound block of cream cheese
1/4 teaspoon each- garlic powder (or i clove of fresh garlic, if you’d got it), pepper, dill, chervil, basil, ground rosemary, tarragon, thyme
    Pinch of salt
Optional- 1 tbsp. half& half or cream. This will make it more spreadable.

Allow cheese to soften to room temperature. Place in a large bowl. Add all the herbs & spices and mash up with a fork, until fairly well mixed. (Or whip it up with a hand-mixer, if you want it more spreadable.)
Transfer to a container for the refrigerator. ( I like to use a ceramic crock with a gasket, but use what you’ve got.)

Of course you can vary the herb blend and quantities. But I suggest trying these small amounts first to see how you like it. You can always add more later.
