Fabulous introductory post for this month’s 30DC Joe,
@Trigger. Thank you for shout the out as well.
I have been bouncing around my plan for the month in my head for the past several days. My ideas have been extremely fluid. There will be one constant in relation to the past 6 months.
1. Every Monday will remain MICROMATIC-DARKFALL MONDAY.
The remaining shaves will be as follows:
Weekdays - Straight razors
Weekends - DE’s in honor of our DE aficionado, Gary,
@brit. His knowledge and willingness to share the history of his various DE’s are greatly appreciated.
As for the software, I plan on using a brand of soap a week during the weekdays.
Week 1 - May 2 - 6 - Declaration Grooming
Week 2 - May 10 - 13 - Stirling
Week 3 - May 17 - 20 - Lakewood Soap Co
Week 4. - May 23 - 27 - PAA
Weekends - 1508.5 Project - Ginger’s Garden Snow Bliss

SRS #580 -Barbershop SOTD
Rating: 5 / 5
Razor: Martens HDW Co. 11/16” Kingwood scales
Brush: Big Cyprass 24mm Silver Tip
Lather: WTF Vintage Barbershop
Aftershave: WTF Vintage Barbershop
Additional Care:
Stirling Alum Block
Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
The software selection for today’s shave should have been used yesterday as part of the Barbershop Day shave in a FB group that I belong to. Unfortunately, I got my days mixed up.
I do enjoy both the scent and lather of the WTF Vintage Barbershop. A small pea size scoop of the soap, approximately one gram, produce enough later for 4 - 5 passes. I know this because in my standard three pass shave, I lather my face 4 times. Three for the pass and one post shave to condition the face a little while I clean up my razor and brush. I still had enough for another pass left in the bowl.
The Martens HDW razor deliver an extremely close shave. My face felt smooth and refreshed with a minimal alum report.
I hope we all have great shave this month. It doesn’t matter whether they are OTWE, SDE or JE to use Paul’s coding,
@Paul Turner . Let’s enjoy each other’s presentations.
Speaking of Paul, tick tock on the SOTD picture.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
