Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Chantry Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm Naples Tuxedo Synthetic.
Face Lather.
Lather: Boots Original Shave Stick.
Blade : Gillette Perma-Sharp. (D3)
Razor: Muhle R89.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Boots Freshwood ASL + ASB.

Early morning shave.

Everything in the shave set up worked together wonderfully....As always the inexpensive Boots Trio was a joy to use making my early morning shave a pleasure experience.
An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Freshwood ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #433 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic Razor with a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

When the Shulton Old Spice soap and aftershave were discontinued a few years ago I was very sad because I loved them so much but Fernando recreated the gorgeous fragrance and great performance with his Vintage Spice. This soap is tallow based, the lather is magnificent, the slickness is fantastic, the scent is EXACTLY the same as the Shulton Old Spice, and the skincare is perfect. The CutiBase moisturizer is unscented, it works so well as a balm, and the Vintage Spice aftershave is witch hazel based so there’s no burning or stinging from it, and the scent is heavenly - not only that, it lasts all day. What a brilliant three pass BBS work of art this was!

Razor : Everready 1914 LLC- Mfg 1914-17, excellent mid range, great audio feed back, was very popular for it's time.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(8) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock The Dead Sea- nice unique fragrance + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi 24mm Aqua High mountain silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock The Dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my ER 1914 with a coated gem blade.

Cold water shave


Got a great cold lather from the PAA soap and brush. Second shave with the Dorco blade. Not a bad blade, it's reasonably smooth, reasonably sharp, but I guess I like something a bit sharper. Perhaps it would do better in a more aggressive razor. There are so many blades to try that I am ready to move on to something else tomorrow. This blade has been retired to the bin.

The PAA Mysterium Serum balm is very good: fragrance-free, menthol-free, alcohol-free, and very soothing. That may sound boring if you enjoy a bracing after shave experience, but my face likes this.

Great 2 pass shave, that left me BBS. For a modern made straight razor, this one is one of the greats.

Gillette silver blue blade, my go to blade.

Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done.
