Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Chantry Lavender Goat's Milk Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Cream.
Blade: Gillette Perma-Sharp. (D4)
Razor: Merkur 34C.

Early Morning Shave,

A wonderful shave to finish my shaving week off in style.

The Perma-sharp has been the star performer of all my shaves this week. On it's 4th use and final outing it paired up with the Merkur 34c wonderfully....However, the Perma-Sharp felt noticeable more aggressive than with the but with the same level of smoothness this could be due to the Merkur 34c having a slightly heavier handle than the Muhle R89 wonderfully.

My reacquaintance with the perma-sharp has been wonderful.

I personally find the second shave with the perma-sharp always feels much smoother. However, this could be down to me familiarising myself with the blade again after a long hiatus of not using them it takes a few shaves for me to get use to them again.

In my future shaves i intend to reacquaint myself with the Bolzano Superinox Inossidable which has been a past favourite that i have infrequently added to my DE blade rotation due to reaching for my usual suspects.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #433 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the RazoRock Black Hawk Razor with a Feather Artist Club Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Iced Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Wow, it’s been ages since I last used Mo’s Green Fields soap and it felt great to shave with it this morning. It’s vegan based with a lovely peppermint scent, excellent lather that’s thick, rich, and quite slick, there’s a nice cooling effect, and the skincare is pretty good. The Nip Man balm is from the UK and it has a very nice minty scent, there’s lots of soothing with great moisturizing as well as a mild menthol sensation, and the Bergamot Vetiver aftershave from Henri & Victoria is made by a gentleman who lives about two hours away from me - this stuff smells great and it’s icy cold. Two passes gave me a fabulous BBS shave!

Razor : Yaqi Adjustable TFC, Mfg 2021> Well built, designed similar to the 1930's Gibbs but takes standard Gillette blades. I get great shaves with it on settings(3-3- 3.5 for pickups) Good over all razor for my needs.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP (5) sharp & smoooth + reasonable longevity. Top tier blade for myself.
Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier soap, nice scent with excellent lather qualities. Artisan Master soap creations SA.
Brush : Yaqi Robin 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, great scrubber, soft split hair tips + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer aftershave with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless)
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi TFC adjustable with a 7oClock SP.

A few days of growth, just wiped away. Very smooth 2 pass shave, with BDBS results. Excellent brand razor. I'm never disappointed. Zero issues.

Two passes and touch ups with the Cobra Classic Razor with a Feather Professional Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva Iced Blue AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Would I call this shave a Grand Freeze? Definitely. The Frosted Spearmint soap is actually Fernando’s mildest of all his mentholated soaps but it still gives more than enough iciness to satisfy my menthol craving. It’s tallow based, the scent is so beautiful - just like Glacial Spearmint from Stirling, the lather is superb, and it’s so skin friendly. Needless to say the Prep felt so good afterwards, and the Frosted Spearmint aftershave went on frigidly cold, it has the same wonderful scent as the soap but it never disrupts any fragrance that I wear. Three glorious passes cleaned me up and left me smoother than silk!
