SOTD MONDAY MORNING, MAY 9, 2022
Finally a bright, sunny day, albeit cooler than these old bones prefer at a current chilly 53°F going up to a somewhat warmer 67° later today. Gromit, my doxie buddy, woke both myself and the bride with furious barking at 5:30 AM this morning. As it turned out, his nemesis, the squirrel who lives in the oak in our back yard was perched on our bedroom window sill.
After chasing the pesky rodent away, I let the Grom out to do his business. Sure enough, there was the squirrel, again sitting in plain sight on the fence encircling our yard. Gromit immediately chased him back to the safety of his tree. I’m always amazed at how high my little dachshund can jump.
The mug shave this morning featured my Victor Creazzi Shorty 7/8. I really love the edges delivered on my Creazzi razors. They are both nicely sharp and were delivered with buttery smooth edges. I particularly like this short bladed straight because of the easy versatility it offers. It’s highly maneuverable and allows ready access to some of the more challenging neck stubble. Two and a half passes and all was right with the world.
As is probably obvious from my prior SOTD photos, I’m really enjoying my noggin shaves with the five Durham Enders Speed Shaver/Razors NOW in my collection. The adapter takes all the fiddling out of the equation and is highly superior to the earlier shimmed Enders blade technique. The magnetic adapter allows for perfect positioning of the Proline B-20 injector blade and consistently delivers the two pass ATG shaves I enjoy on the dome as it did this morning. How nice to be velveteen smooth from neck to noggin!
