    Good evening!

    Shavette Shave #363
    Dovo Shavette
    Personna Hairshaper Blade (6)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
    Cella SS
    Stirling Spice AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 28 hrs

I wanted to shave this evening so that if I get called to work, then that's one less thing to worry about before I get out the door. Tonight, I decided to use Cella instead of Cryogen. Cella has a great scent and it easily lather. It is very slick and loves water. I have to say everytime I use Cella that I get phenomenal shaves. Also, Cella has an Aloe Vera version for you guys that don't like the marzipan scent. It is in a blue tub.

Realistically, I really didn't need to shave because I still looked acceptable. I could have stopped with a one pass shave, but I have to shave with 2 passes at the minimum. I have to say that this 2 pass shave without pickups was almost cotton ball test BBS shave. I am happy to report there wasn't any blood or irritation. This Personna Hairshaper Blade is still very sharp after 5 uses. I have pushed this blade to 15 to 16 shaves. That's what I call an excellent value.

Anyway,, I got very little alum feedback and finished the postshave with witch hazel and Stirling Spice aftershave. Enjoy your evening!
  2. Awesome Dovo shavette shave, Joe!
  3. Thanks Jeff! I feel like King Arthur when he is holding Excalibur in his hands while shaving with my Dovo Shavette. Now, I will put it away for awhile because Artie is getting the call this week for a few shaves.
  4. I feel the same way about my Creazzi razors! I just acquired a second Iwasaki, but it definitely needs some blade love as it was apparently languishing on a shelf in a Japanese barber’s storage closet for four decades. Also picked up another Witte for $12. It needs some scale love!

  5. Nice Pickups Jeff!
  6. I’m very pleased at what I paid for the Iwasaki. My first Iwasaki 33 was in mint condition and wasn’t cheap. Given the shave it delivers I understand the mystique associated with these razors. The Witte arrived today, but the Iwasaki isn’t due until Thursday!
  7. Fabulous looking shave Hogie

My concentration was not as good as it should have been, so I got a little bit of irritation in few difficult areas. Probably too much pressure. Overall I would say that this was still a decent shave. No nicks or weepers, the AS did not give much feedback except in those areas where I screwed up.

    Have a great day, gents!
