  1. Another great Dovo shavette shave, Joe! Enjoy your Saturday!
  2. Thanks Jeff!
  3. Great Supply shave, John! I have the Supply Pro and the V2, and prefer the V2 because I can’t use my Schick Injector II blades in the Pro! I actually prefer the v2 either the latter blade and the three dot plate over the Pro wide open. Enjoy your Saturday!
  4. Awesome shave, Barry! Glad you’re enjoying the Parker Adj. Enjoy your Saturday!
  5. Terrific DX shave, Gary! Sounds like you’re beginning to really get the hang of the DX. Enjoy your Saturday!

  6. . That’s great, Gary! You might want to stick with the Proguards! Sounds like they’re working well for you!
  7. Great advice!
  8. Thanks, Joe! The research involved is part of the appeal the hobby has for me! I sold my research company partnership back in 2012. This sort of is my way of still keeping my hand in, except now I get to explore my interests instead of the clients’.
  9. Thanks, Gary!
  10. Great LC shave, Gary! Is that a Karve handle? Enjoy your Saturday.
  11. I do go really slow. REALLY SLOW.
Like I said in earlier post, slow and easy does it. I HAVE been going slow. REAL slow so as not to nick.
    And I am improving.

Some things I take to fast. Some things I am slow starter. I think my progress has been good.
    Maybe you don't agree...

Maybe I should quit while I am behind. At least I now have 3 Straight razors for the collection all coated up with mineral oil to protect them. Gotten on the cheep.
If nothing else, good to practice honing with at least. I gotta start somewhere.

  12. Speed comes with practice, Gary! I think you’re making great progress. By the timebyou’ve mastered the DX, any traditional straight won’t be a big deal at all!

  13. Jeff, even when I am proficient, I will continue to go as slow as I do now. No need to go fast at all. Go slow and enjoy it. I am not trying for speed. I am trying for proficiency alone. My speed will never change. I shave slow now and I will shave slow next year too. I will shave slow the rest of my life.

I got so close today that I won't have to shave for a couple days

  14. It is an excellent razor! The Flatboy looks interesting. I'm sure it shaves well!

    You will get there!
Thanks, Joe! Menthol feels great on the skin. I'll have to get something a bit stronger than this at some point, maybe the same Menthol&Pine soap I had before. Or perhaps something completely different. I'll have to do some more research on what to get!
    Thank you, Gary!
