Sunday Schick shave, May 15th 2022 Razor : Schick Golden 500 with hydro-magic injector- Mfg 1957-64, longest razor I own 5 3/8 inches length, It must be a unisex razor because of the length I'm thinking. I receive decent shaves with it, the handle might be to long for some folks. Blade : Personna SS PTFE(4) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Razorock Don Marco- nice bold citrus scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi Cavern lake 24 mm synthetic, great lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Italian barber Amici splash with witch hazel, Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick Golden 500 with Hydro magic + a coated Personna blade. Razor : Ever Ready streamliner 2nd Generation- Mfg 1949-53, Upper mid range, ER Stream liner razor shaves differently than a lot of Gem razors but once dialed in does perform well. The blade is forward feeling because of placement of blade stops. Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (10) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Razorock Don Marco, nice citrus scent + excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi 26mm Moka 2 band badger- excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrubber + great lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : witch hazel soap residual beard cleanse + Nivea refreshing lotion + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Ever Ready Streamliner with a coated Gem blade. Have some great shaves!

Tue 17th May RR 400. SE- Plissoft noir MWF Schick J3 Hydromagic 500 NOS Schick Super Platinum Holland ( 4) GB Grey Flannel A/S Lotion A nice start to this Injector rotation, as the Dutch blade transforms any Razor. Smooth and comfortable, with a close all round finish.

Thur 19th May Alpha G4 Syn 28mm OSP Bay Rum Personna Super Stainless Injector Schick S/S Single- Japan (( 3 ) Tuff Red A/S Lotion Took me some time to get to grips with this little Razor, but now it is a regular in rotations. With Two days growth to clear, the order of the day was short strokes and no rush. Very pleased with the quality of finish.
SE SOTD, Friday, May 20 2022 Razor : Valet Auto- strop, C1 Canadian variant- Mfg 1920's, excellent mid range, I modified the gap to 6-7/1000 from 11/1000 of a inch to make it more smoother a shave, I get great shaves with this razor with the closer gap and is a joy to own. Blade : Modified Gem Personna SS PTFE(5) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Yaqi Musketeer rapier - nice scent with excellent lather qualities, excellent soap designed by Master soap creations is my understanding for Yaqi. Brush : Yaqi mysterious space 24mm silvertip, excellent lather generator, heavenly pillow like soft tips, gentle scrubber +excellent lather painter. One of my best brushes from Yaqi for natural hair. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Yaqi Musketeer Rapier with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Fri 20th May Stirling Syn 26mm Ach Brito Mogno Schick Type F Schick S/S Single- Japan ( 4 ) Tuff Green A/S Lotion Though not the most aggressive of Razors, I find it to be quite efficient and always get a good Shave with it. Was particularly good today with a Japanese Schick on board.
