  5. . Nice shave! Many straight shavers only shave every other or every two days due to the closeness you describe. I’m unfortunately, cursed with a heavy Mediterranean beard. I suppose I could get away with shaving every other day since the beard is white and not as obvious as it used to be, but I’ve been shaving daily for the last sixty years or so with the exception of some recent Kildare interludes, so why stop now! Enjoy your day!
  6. only the lower plates are coded.:)
  7. Thanks, Joe!
  8. Thanks, Daniel!
  9. Fine shave this morning, repeating with Central Texas Soaps and Aqua Velva. I added a few Stoylin Frost Drops into the soap, but the thing spilled out like it was a liquid. Had to be careful. Well, after all, same thing happens with Aqua Velva if I'm not careful, right? I had to shake the excess Drops around to cover the whole puck. Maybe I shook it too hard prior to usage. Anyway-nice work alongside the cheeks&sideburn area. Ditto Porcupine Alley((North AND South). Solid along the jawline. The left side of Cactus(neck)looks much better than the right. I didn't get ALL of the right side, which is strange because I thought I was doing well there. No cuts, New Yorkers, or Polka Dots anywhere. I'll do better on that right side of Cactus tomorrow. The AV felt good, although some more spilled out over my cupped hand and into the sink. Very Excellent.

  14. Thanks Jeff. I mighta had a top grade, were it not for the right side of Cactus. I'm going to blame that on still being thrown off stride by the Stoylin Frost RIVER. Drops are better. But overall, a nice shave-face and left side of neck look and feel good.
  15. That's good hand exercise, grabbing it with the one hand without having it drop.

    good morning gents
nice 3 pass shave this morning ,although the lather was a fail.
the brush loaded quite easily and built a nice shiny lather,
    usual face prep,and lathered,little slickness.
got through the first pass and relathered,no residual slickness to speak of.
    second pass was marginally better.
    lather didn't dissipate,nor too wet.
added a touch of kmf and relathered, repeating the pass with no issue.
    lime splash to finish.
    ***
now i am used to crap lathers from years of using modern williams,
    but this one surprised me.
it lacked slickness on all levels..
and you guessed it,it got round filed.
it was purchased when their hard soaps first entered the market,4 or so years ago.
showed no signs of being dried out,
either way i have too many great working soaps to even consider bothering with it again.
    good riddance.;)

    have a grat day everyone
