  1. Enjoy your day, my friend! You’re definitely right about the green tea, but he probably didn’t even know Japan existed! :)
  2. I know you like the Forest Green. I was thinking peppermint and maybe grapefruit. My concern is that these soaps are lightly scented. However, creams make an easy, quick lather so that's in my wheelhouse.
  3. Just another great shave in a long series of great shaves! Enjoy your day, my friend!
  4. Thanks, Gary!
  5. i haven't tried either,but samples may be available.or in tube form.:)

  7. Beautifully knurled RFB, Looking forward to your shave with it!
  8. These are the times that my interests in steel instead of stink definitely pay off! Having only one soap and two creams in my den suits me!
  9. I have both the peppermint and grapefruit and I enjoy them. The scent is not too strong, but not too light either in my opinion, but of course opinions vary.

The peppermint cools the face nicely, so it would have at least that going for it, if you would find it to be too lightly scented.

That said, I agree with @brit about the samples if available.
  10. thank you Jeff.it's the razor emporium replica old type handle.:):eatdrink047:
  11. My shaves, as you know are in the persuasion of "some great, some not so". Oh, GARY wrote that advice, sorry.

    Straight Shave # 368
    J A Henckels Friodur
C-Mon Heritage Collection Replica SHD Badger Brush
    Razorock XX SS
    Pinaud/Clubman Classic AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 31.5 hrs

It really is a dreary, chilly May on Long Island. I need 20 days of straight warm weather to heal my psyche. Lol! Anyway, a shave is what the doctor ordered. The C-Mon Badger Brush is tied at #1 with my JR # 386 Silvertip Badger Brush, but I give a slight edge to the JR Brush. Hence, the JR is my true #1 and C-Mon is 1A. Razorock XX really has a slight clean scent, but it does produce a nice, rich and slick lather. Like the RR Classic, this soapnis at the lowest price point in RR's line. Would I buy this soap again? No, because it is practically unscented, but I would buy the RR Classic because it smells like Cella.
Did a nice 2 pass shave and got a great quality shave. On my last pass, I go ATG on my stache area and I keep the blade flat as I go across. However, I got a micro weep at the pink lip/ skin border. Apparently, I must have had the blade on a slight angle, instead of parallel to my skin and the micro weep appeared. I credit my soft touch for not cutting myself to the extent that it could have been serious. My styptic took care of it. The alum feedback was slight. Witch hazel and the Clubman Classic was splashed on my shaved areas that gave me a nice barbershop scent. Have a great evening!

  14. fine shave Joe.
  15. I figured that if Gary noted how his switch to DE razors helped him clear his in-growns, than maybe you would really try one.
  16. Thanks Gary! I timed this shave so that I don't need to shave until Saturday. I will be at the high school tomorrow so I can take a little more time to get ready for the day.
  17. ..And if did know that Japan existed,he would have tried to over rule it with his tenacious tyranny, creating more unjustified taxes for the people of the British empire to fight his wars, like all Kings and Queens have done in our historical past history... With or with out the wonderful aid of green tea.Take it easy my friend. :happy088:
  18. Lovely Henckels shave, Joe!
  19. Wonderful Fat shave
  20. Excellent shave with the injector razor Barry.
