Jeff...The Schick Injector II blade are superb...The difference in the blade efficiency was noticeable. With either the Parker SS or the Personna PTFE SS Injector razors really work for me..Especially for head shaving, they are pleasure to shave with. Enjoy your day my Friend. Take care. Yours-Barry.
It's a 2.0 but "retrofitted" with a baseplate for the new Supply SE. The new Supply SE is identical to the old 2.0 except for the open comb which is on the baseplate. That baseplate will also fit on a 2.0; Supply now sells that plate seperately so a phased-out 2.0 can be upgraded instead of buying a whole new razor. My 2.0 now has FOUR baseplates -- the original one- to three-dot plates and the SE plate I am now using.
It's all down to personal taste....I actually like it myself..But i understand your love/hate passion.
We may be talkinabout different products-I was talkinabout sample aftershaves. I have seen people do wonders with small amounts of soap.
Thanks Joe, I will when I come across a questionable Stoylin soap(or ANY soap). With some small samples I have, my nose makes the decision for me without trying it in the first place.
lol....well, what a COinSIdence you say that, as I wrote a post yesterday asking about grapefruit scent, and added I wouldn't EAT the grapefruit, just shave with it.
Real fine shave this morning closing out(for now)the Razorock Lime Burst soap and Stoylin Glacial Lime A.S. Two areas where I blew it-right cheek(small part of it)and right at the Porcupine-Cactus border-middle of jaw. In each case, I left some Astroturf. I'll fix those tomorrow. But this Razorock soap has been great. I'm glad I FINALLY made a dent in it, but as I work my way to the bottom, it'll leave me with lots of soap along the perimeter. 2 passes. No cuts/Knicks/polka-dots. This is a winning combination, no doubt. The Glacial Lime aftershave got me good again, but as I said yesterday, no freeze, shock. That is to say, my reaction wasn't....well, look at the bottom of the page*. I'm fresh, clean, and set for the day. *EEEEEEEEEEEEEEYYOWWWWWWWWWWWWHAT'SGOINONHERE?????
May 21 SOTD Good afternoon! Shavette Shave #366 Dovo Shavette Personna Hairshaper Blade (9th use) Omega Pro 49 Boar Brush Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus SS Maggard's Alum Block Dickinson's Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 43.5 hrs I had a great 2 pass shave with no errors today. Fine Accoutrements original version is super slick, but alas, it is slightly scented when new out of the box or tub. IOW, Fine is not fine with me, scentwise. Did my normal post shave routine. Alum provided very little feedback and ending with Stirling Spice made a nice shave that much more so. I videod this shave so it should be downloaded in a day or two. Take care.
I've come a long way. My first shave with Barbasol Pacific Outstanding Goo set me off the same way...and this was before I knew about Glacials from Stoylin and other companies. I have a Stoylin Glacial Soap on deck for this week. Let's see what I do with THAT.
Good day all. Just got the time to report on my shave. Using my modified Razorock V1, without the safety bar. Also used yesterday's blade a second shave. Using a blade twice is not normally a thing for me. But these blades do hold up well. All is good, I have a nice shave today. Using a good shaving cream and after shave for the warm morning here. All Enjoy tp
Just a quick shave after a relaxing sauna. Not in the löyly this time though, I was a bit too tired to try anything experimental, as I just came home from a camping trip. Uneventful shave, which is a good thing. The aftershave I used is a finnish 4711 clone that has existed for ages (seriously, even my great grandmother used it for some things). Still in production. Not as good as 4711, somewhat boozy until it dries down, but it's still decent enough. Have a great day, gents!
