  5. Thanks Joe. Excellent video. You make it look easy! I am getting better slowly. I plan on using the DX again this week.

I can get my left jawline BBS in a simple 2 pass shave (WTG & ATG) but, my right jawline doesn't get close with the same 2 pass shave. It's due to how the whiskers grow on that side. To shave ATG, I have to pull the razor from my ear towards the front parallel to my jawline. Due to the slope of the skin as it comes away from the jawline, it's hard to get in there close without risk of cutting myself. So I do multi-passes in all different directions. It's close but not as close as the left side.

  6. Very nice shave this morning.I got my grass mowed before doing my shave. Rain is moving in later.

Today I used the constant for the month for me of Proraso Blue pre-shave cream. Mitchell's Wool Fat the soap. I started by a face washing with my cloth and then warmed the face with the hot washcloth. Today I decided to do a face lather which was very pleasant. I am going to have to face lather more often! The Satin Tip synthetic brush is always a nice choice.

The razor was my Fatip open comb with the olive wood handle with a Feather blade 3rd use.

Shave was a nice 2-pass shave with no cleanup needed. No nicks with very little burn from the alum bar. Nice and close. I didn't push it today and ended up with a very smooth face.

Washed face with brush squeezings. I still use a dab of Captain's Choice "Venture" and a splash of Proraso after-shave.

I was going to ride the bik but, the clouds are rolling in with high chance of rain. I already got soaked on the bike once this year. No fun cleaning my leathers.

I hope all are having a fine Sunday morning. :D

  8. Very nice, Joe....One question...when you "look up" while doing your neck, isn't it a little harder to see what you're doing?
  9. Thanks Hogie! I neglected to do a half pass to show you how to go against the grain on your jawline. I have the razor upside down so that the toe faces the floor as I move the blade from my ear to my chin. I will do another video showing that move next time.
  10. We don't know any fiddle players. The ones we knew have passed on. We have a mandolin player but, they had other plans this weekend

  11. Wonderful shave and setup Hogie!
  12. No, because I look at the placement of the blade before I start my stroke and I am still looking at what I am doing. I am using the term looking up figuratively.
  13. Another great shave this morning. I had the Stoylin Glacial Sheep soap and Frank Sinatra's favorite aftershave(Agua Lavenda de Puig) out. I think this a good aftershave to use witu the Glacial soap. A colder feeling on my face than the Glacial Aftershave of the last two shaves. At the loading dock I worked a little faster than normal, and could see a difference doing it that way. A positive difference, let me say that(oh, I just DID, chuk yuk yuk) Now onto the shave. No problems along the cheeks&sideburns and all of Porcupine Alley. On the left side of Cactus Nation, I did get a small cut, but no pain involved. 1 cut, no New Yorkers, no polka-dots. The Agua was a refresjng aftershave to close out. Too hot for a post-shave fragrance. I feel bad because Swiss Arabia sent me a discount notice for one of their products, saying "Because we miss you!" Aaaaah, they'll hear from me again, as I did notice another one that looked good(and reasonable for my budget). I'll do some more Mutamayez until then. Super Duper Excellent.
  14. Kinda like a female tennis player I like. On her serving motion, she begins to look up AFTER tossing the ball up.

    A nice Sunday morning shave.
Lucky Tiger, a horse hair brush, my favorite razor with my favorite blade.

No one around for a 2 pass head and face shave.
No rushing or hurriedly getting it done.
    Nice.

    Enjoy

Relaxing sunday shave with La Toja. All went well. The Personna blade seems to be working well even on it's 5th use.

    Have a great day, gents!
