  1. Great relaxing shave, Terry, with your favorite razor! I have the liquid shave cream, but haven’t used it in quite some time. Is the aftershave a standard barbershop scent? Enjoy your Sunday!

  4. Thanks Paul!!
It's liquid, so yeah, I just measure it the same way my mom used to measure things when she was baking.
A pinch of this, a dash of that.....

    DE Shave # 405

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Gillette SS Blue Tip TTO (1956 B-1)
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
Brush: Strike Gold Shave Minion 24 mm Badger
    Lather: Ginger’s Garden Snow Bliss
    Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Today’s shave featured the Gillette Blue Tip razor. Similar to yesterday’s shave in result. I believe the Blue Tip is even milder on the aggressive scale that the Red Tip. Nonetheless, it performed just as well. I did my usual three pass shave with phenomenal results.

I am enjoying this summertime weather heard on LI. What could be better than being outside an watching my son in the pool. Water temperature is about 70 degrees. That is to cold for this old coot.

I hope you have a great day gentlemen.

  9. Very nice Daniel.
  10. Terrific shave Joe. The Bluetip is the mildest of the SuperSpeeds.
  11. Thanks. They were awesome.
  12. Thanks, Joe. That's a decent amount of shaves from a blade! I'll have to experiment to see how far I can go with this blade, without it becoming uncomfortable. So far I've been quite impressed. Probably not the sharpest blade, but way sharper than the Sharks I used in my R41.
    Thanks Jeff, you too!
    Thank you, Joe!
  13. Fine shave, Joe!
  14. Great Blue Tip shave, Joe!

    Rockwell DE Blade (?)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
    Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus SS
    Pinaud Clubman Classic AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 27.5 hrs

Getting ready for tonight's service so a shave is in order. I looked socially acceptable, but I like to look my best for church.
I am using the Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus more frequently to deep six the soap. I estimate 8 to 10 more shaves left, but we shall see. It does provide a slick lather, but scent strength is important to me and this soap lacks it. It's a shame because it performs well. Btw, this is the original version of this soap.
Two passes gave me a nice, comfortable smooth shave. Alum feedback was negligible and the rest of the post shave ritual was divine. The P/C aftershave really has a nice barbershop scent. Despite what others may think of it, it's a great old-time aftershave. Have a great afternoon.

  17. OK, thanks....right, I saw it was liquid but I thought it was called "shaving cream liquid" or something fancy like that.
