DE SOTD, Saturday, May 28th 2022

Razor : Gillette New long comb, Canadian variant, Mfg 1930's when Gillette introduced their new Blade from just the old 3 hole type. Excellent razor, mid range, some blade tab overhang + totally brass. I usually receive excellent shaves with this beautiful razor. Holds the blade solid with no chatter.
Blade : Gillette 7oClock SP (2) sharp & Smoooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Cyril R Salter Indian Sandal wood cream + nice fragrance of spicy sandalwood with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi mysterious space 24mm timber wolf synthetic knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : witch hazel beard cleanse + Ogallala Bayrum with sandalwood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my Gillette New long comb with a Gillette 7oClock SP(black) blade.

Razor: Feather AS D2 // Blade: Feather // Soap: PAA CaD// Brush: PAV Brushworks „Chief“ // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman

Not much to say…proud owner of the Feather AS D2. It is such a fantastic razor. The combination with the Feather is good…smooth and gentle.

The soap is wonderful. Scent and lather are great. The PAV Brush had no problems whipping up a very nice lather.

3 wonderful passes later, the shave was done and i had a big smile on my face. The Feather is such a brilliant razor…i am amazed.

The Pinaud Clubman did the rest and i smelled like a million bucks.

Lather: Vitos Vegetal shaving soap.
Blade: Derby Usta. (D2)

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Original ASL./The Real Shaving Company PSSB.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

A wonderful performance from the Vitos Vegetal shaving soap providing me with a good slick lather and a great post shave with no drying issues.

The Vitos Vegetal shaving soap has a wonderful 'Full On' vibrant sweet almond scent. If you like almond scented shaving products this soap will blow you always with it's fragrance performance, and post shave feel...Superb stuff.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollop's of The Real Shaving Company PSSB.

My face is feeling cool, smooth & smelling divine.

A fantastic shave. I am speechless. The razor / blade combination is absolutely out of this world. Extremely gentle, extremely thoroughly AND extremely smooth.

I was done after two passes. BBS like a Dolphin

The Mitchell's Wool Fat Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #1 Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the C.V. Heljestrand Lather Catcher Razor with a Heljestrand Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Vitos Vegetale is a lovely soap - IMHO it’s as good as Cella if not better.

Henri et Victoria Bergamot Vetiver AS Splash

The White is definitely my favourite Proraso soap - the scent is so nice, it’s so easy to lather, it’s very slick, there’s a bit of a menthol sensation, and it’s so soothing as well as moisturizing. The matching pre/after cream works so well as a balm, and the Bergamot Vetiver aftershave from Henri et Victoria is very mentholated, and it smells great. Two passes were enough for a lovely BBS shave that was so enjoyable!

Comfortable close shave. The Personna platinum blade is a good pairing with the mild Henson razor.

 

Sunday Schick Shave, May 29th 2022

Razor : Schick adjustable injector, Model3- Mfg 1970-72, excellent adjustable & well made even with the plastic, adjustment dial is placed in the right spot of the razor(out of the lather)- IMO. I get really great shaves on the lower settings I have concluded.
Blade : Personna SS PTFE(6) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Cyril S Salter Indian Sandalwood cream, nice great sandalwood scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Artic Sky 24 mm Silver tip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Witch hazel rinse of residual beard soap + Ogallala Bayrum with sandal wood + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Schick adjustable injector M3 with a Personna coated blade.
