  6. The GEM "Featherweight" came in the mail and it does look like new! I don't have any blades yet for it tho...
The Razorock "Hawk" will be here late in the afternoon. Living in the boonies, I think I am one of the last stops! Prolly will be close to 6PM.
That will work great! Shower and then shave before bed! That will be 30 hours or more of beard!

    SRS # 703 ~ Gemini Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Taylor Eyewitness 1000
    Brush: Purple Haze Badger
    Lather: Catie’s Bubbles Vintage
    Aftershave: Catie’s Bubbles Vintage
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Todays shave is dedicated to my father in remembrance of him. He would have been 87 years young today. I choose the Taylor Eyewitness straight to do the honors as I won it in a raffle last year just after my father’s passing. The numbers for the raffle that I choose were that of his hospital room.

This razor arguably might deliver the closest shave of any of the straights in my den. Quite honestly I could get away with a one pass and be more than socially acceptable. No doubt on two passes would do the job but I can not help myself an neglect doing a third pass. I just love the process.

The badger brush whipped up an nice lather. The Carie’s Bubbles soap, the only one of this artisan in my den, has a wonderful scent. The scent profile is a follows: “The blend of light citrus and florals with a stout bottom end of moss, musks, wood, and amber create a wonderful woody, suede scent with a bit of sparkle.”

I hope you have a great day gentlemen.

  17. Thoroughly enjoying my shaves!
this is a Type I Hydro-magic in chrome with a Japanese Schick. Seems a little more "aggressive" to me than my standard sChick blades. Anyone have any thoughts or experiences to share?

  19. Awesome setup and shave Eric! I have never used a Schick Hydromatic. However, I do know that they can open up to clean the inside of the razor. I have never heard of Japenese Schicks, but I am sure they are decent.
