  1. Fine shave Gary. Barbus is a nice soap according to some reviews that I have read.

  3. I am still learning when it needs water and when it has too much. I am getting better. Today I used lavender cream soap (TOBS) and it was nice. Also too much lather. I just wash my face with it when the shave is done.
  4. Thanks, Barry. We are similar in the shaving. I usta hate it with a passion and would put it off. The carts always gave me burn and reddened my face. My face and skin is much bettter for the soaps and balms.

I will keep posting. But, I will be more careful about bike and cat photos. This is a shaving forum. I did not have a good experience starting a thread in the part of this site devoted to such posts. I was trying to avoid posting them here in the shave school. I was trolled....

    Once bitten....

Oh, and lunch was excellent! Pretty waitress, the place was BUSY!!!, and the ride was exceptional except for the road construction...

And my dental checkup was good with no cavities!

  5. I like my vintage 1920's & 30's Gillette razors as well as my Slim set on 7 or 9. ;)

My music trio was called "Gary T & Company" (me in the front. Bill on left died last August so, no more music...) Poster from one of our last gigs. We were just coming off the stage from a performance and Bill's daughter took the photo. It was a good promo photo so we used it.

  6. Hogie, I am the arbiter of this thread and I will judge on what is allowed on it or not. You want to post Teddy pix and Harley pics that's fine with me. If someone messages me on a questionable post that I may have missed then I will have it taken down. In my monthly intro, my guidelines are explicit as to what can or can not be posted. Glad your dental appt went well.
  7. Thanks, Joe! :)

  8. The ride was exceptional! But, it started getting really hot and then I got stopped in road construction....HOT!
But, Pearl purred like Theo does!

  9. Amen!
  10. Thanks, Gary! Danny has my Hawk! My only two remaining AC safety razors are my Blackland Vector and Colonial General V2. The Hawk is an excellent razor, but I needed to downsize. Enjoy your shaves!
  11. Great shave kits, Daniel!

  17. I’m probably one of those guys you’re referencing, Gary, but as you know I’m a tremendous fan of all Gillette second generation “New” blade holders!
  18. My 4 single edge razors. The open comb for the Hawk will be here shortly. I have one more Micromatic on the way too (Golden Bullet Tip) so, I will wait for it to arrive and run with each one next week.
