Someone posted that on Facebook. I jumped on it, and so did my brother-in-law.

FYI, the shave cream is $30 and the fragrance is $50 separately.

Edit: the brush is their £24.95 starter brush. Pure badger, so not exactly high end, but it's basically beyond a freebie at this point.

Edit 2: the normal retail price for this set is $90.

Says it can be used as an aftershave or cologne, so I would assume so.

Scents of white pear, bergamot, and musky notes... As a novice, besides the characteristics, what should I expect?

    Only two left in stock...

I'm expecting a cross between barbershoppy and cologne, based on the scent profile.

My TOBS Platinum set just shipped; I should get my set between June 27-July 5th.

Wow normally $90 for the whole set? This was truly a super bargain.

Mine arrived yesterday, and I used it this morning. The soap scent to me reminds me of Saponificio Varesino 70th Anniversary Beta 4.1, and Stirling Soap Co.'s Algieri. The brush knot is small and is not dense at all. I have not tried the brush, but the soap and fragrance are winners. Thank you for posting!!

I got mine yesterday as well. Haven't tried any of it yet, but the sniff tests were promising. I share @ewk 's view on the brush, and will add that it also has a fairly high loft, as well. The handle is injection molded and silk screened. The special protective wrap around the lettering strongly implies that I should start memorizing it now. The knot is a classic fan shape. The trim is poor for a "handmade" English knot, though I'll be the first to admit that I don't look at pure badger brushes as a rule, and I haven't owned a pure badger brush in 20 years.

Used the brush. Meh. It’s got a fair amount of backbone and the scritch isn't too bad, but it's loft is set too high for it to be a good soap brush for my taste. It does work well with shave cream. On a positive note, now that the knot has bloomed, the bad haircut is much less apparent.

Edit: The shave cream is pretty decent, as is the cologne. The scent is 'spicier' to my nose than anything else in both the cream and spray. When lathered, the spicy note takes a backseat to a very soapy scent. Almost Barbersol like. In the spray, the barbersol scent takes a backseat to an Amber/Musk type scent.

Overall, I find it to be kind of an old fashioned scent profile. The one thing I didn't smell in it was pear.

Yeah, that's most likely why it takes longer for delivery.
