  10. Thanks, Steve! It’s a shame about Sergej! I believe his son, Andrej, is continuing the business with EBay as the primary sales platform.

  13. Scott has a close cousin that I don’t think has ever made it to SOTD. What about it @DaltonGang? :signs002:

  17. According to Andrej he’s quite ill and unable to work, and is not expected to return to work. It’s a shame! He’s a really nice guy who was a pleasure to work with. Andrey of Gipson razor in Ukraine has also shut down his shop. He’s much younger than Yurii Kravchenko, who has reopened his. I expect he is fighting in the Ukrainian militia.

I haven't used a straight in while since growing my beard back, but recently I turned my beard into a goatee. I used one razor for each face side to test if my touchup worked. I used 1, 0.3 and 0.10 micron lapping film for my touchup, instead of a pyramid with 8K and 12K stones, followed with a 20K and got a great edge again. I had re read old forum posts from other websites reminding me, I didn't have to re hone, or go back so far in the honing sequence and that I could do just do touchups to keep the edge going.
