    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Lynx Africa Body Wash.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
    Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
    Brush: Lider Turkish Boar.
    Face Lather.
    Lather: Derby Soap Bowl.
    Blade:Ming Shi MP-063.(D2)
Razor: Ying jili 8306L. ( 7'0clock Stirling tech copy. )

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse./ Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL + Splash-On Lotion./ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Chinese Ying jili 8306L" 7'0clock Stirling tech copy " is one of two that was passed on to me by a work mate.

The razor is very light in weight due to the plastic handle ,but hey! what do you expect considering that most razors are overly mass-produced and the price which in my case both razors cost me 'zilch',i shouldn't gripe!.
I have tried pairing the razor head up with a heavier handle which made it feel noticeably more solid when shaving. Nonetheless with or without the heavier handle it gives a good acceptable shave without any safety issues....An ideal travel razor.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

Finishing to the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling 'BRUT' divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

I have a light blade loaded in the Hawk and will try it out this morning with the OC base plate. One pass will tell me if this gets any more use! I may pick up a boar brush when I need to get a refill of something. I am well stocked now. I have some Vanilla Pinaud AS to try today whenever I get my shave. My face feels like sandpaper right now when I ru my hand over it so, I could at any time now but, I am not in any hurry today. I was busy at a BBQ and music get together that was a lot of fun in spite of the cool and windy day yesterday. We had a tent set up to jam in. FUN! It's not supposed to be much better today but, at least the sun will shine today!

It's Father's Day but, I am not a father unless you count all 5 of the mis-carriages my ex had, She could never carry and lost each one. She never recovered. Shut me out and crawled into a bottle. Alcoholics are NOT fun to live with. She back in Detroit.

I hope all you dads have a fine one! Cool morning here with 39 degrees when I woke!

    Pic later.....

Fabulous shave Paul. Going over with goo or shave soap will lead to fabulous results.

Absolutely great shave. I enjoy using the GSB blades. I have had a pack of 100 for several years. I would venture to guess that they are the original formulation of the blade.

SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, FATHER’S DAY, JUNE 19, 2022

Happy Juneteenth Father’s Day to all my shave brothers and sisters out there. The clan is coming over to swim and celebrate the holiday with the bride and me. As many know I rarely repeat my shaving tools on consecutive days, but I just really needed to know whether my fabulous noggin shave yesterday with the Supply V2 Injector handle fitted with the new SE plate was a fluke. Keeping everything the same, including the use of the same Schick Injector II blade, I’ve determined that it definitely wasn’t a fluke! After two sublime, remarkably comfortable, ATG passes my dome was as smooth as it gets! I’m sold on this new plate, which shaved my dome every bit as close and smooth as I would ever wish, for the second day in a row.

Victor Creazzi builds awesome straight razors, as testified by my great shave yesterday with the first of his ‘Fancy’ grade razors, “Bone Mosaic” that I acquired from him over a year or so ago. The shaves it delivers have always been buttery smooth. I really enjoy shaving with short bladed straight razors, but only have one that is 7/8, and that’s the second ‘Fancy’ grade Creazzi straight razor I own, appropriately named “Shorty”. This razor taught me to routinely blunt the points on my square toed straights, as my first stroke with it rewarded me with a beautiful inch long racing stripe. Vic, as my example attests, ships his razors with a beautifully sharp edge. I’m velveteen smooth from noggin to neck.

RAZOR: Victor Creazzi’s “Shorty” 7/8 (Mug), Supply V2 w/ SE Plate (Dome)
    BLADE: Schick Injector II (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Simpson Chubby 3 Sovereign Fibre
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot & Thyme AS Balm.

Fine shave with the Hawk and a light blade with the open comb plate. Just one leaker on my neck but, zero feedback with the alum bar. I think I have somewhat tamed the beast!

    Pre-shave - Proraso White
    Soap - MWF
Razor - Hawk v3 with OC plate and a light blade (4th)
Brush - Simpson #46 (good face lathering brush)

I prepped by showering. HOT washcloth to the face while I bloom the MWF with a little hot water on top. Apllied pre-shave cream and then poured off the water and loaded the brush for a face lathering. I should face lather more often. Lather doesn't get as thick but, it is good. It can be hard to start with the Hawk due to the steep angle I have to use. Especially under my nose! I nicked my neck right where I had nicked it a few days ago! Same spot! And it continued to leak while I shaved. I did a 2-pass shave with a little cleanup. WTG & ATG with cleanup on my jawline. The cut was really low on my neck shaving area so, it was due to carelessness.

Overall it was a pleasant shave. No feedback from the alum bar which surprised me. So, the light blades work with the open comb. I still need a light touch but, the beast was not as vicious. I will put the OC plate aside and use this razor with the standard plate and Professional blades. This seems to be the nicest pairing. Shave was really close!

The Captian's Choice "Venture" balm is nice and I like the Vanilla Pinaud "Clubman". I use a small dab of the balm even in summer. These balms have cured my face skin of the roseacea.

Happy Father's Day to all you dads! :)
