SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, FATHER’S DAY, JUNE 19, 2022
Happy Juneteenth Father’s Day to all my shave brothers and sisters out there. The clan is coming over to swim and celebrate the holiday with the bride and me. As many know I rarely repeat my shaving tools on consecutive days, but I just really needed to know whether my fabulous noggin shave yesterday with the Supply V2 Injector handle fitted with the new SE plate was a fluke. Keeping everything the same, including the use of the same Schick Injector II blade, I’ve determined that it definitely wasn’t a fluke! After two sublime, remarkably comfortable, ATG passes my dome was as smooth as it gets! I’m sold on this new plate, which shaved my dome every bit as close and smooth as I would ever wish, for the second day in a row.
Victor Creazzi builds awesome straight razors, as testified by my great shave yesterday with the first of his ‘Fancy’ grade razors, “Bone Mosaic” that I acquired from him over a year or so ago. The shaves it delivers have always been buttery smooth. I really enjoy shaving with short bladed straight razors, but only have one that is 7/8, and that’s the second ‘Fancy’ grade Creazzi straight razor I own, appropriately named “Shorty”. This razor taught me to routinely blunt the points on my square toed straights, as my first stroke with it rewarded me with a beautiful inch long racing stripe. Vic, as my example attests, ships his razors with a beautifully sharp edge. I’m velveteen smooth from noggin to neck.
