I don't go to the barber anymore and have not for years. I don't let it grow out either. I have clippers and I knock it down to start over again. Going to a barber would be a ripoff for me. But, the few hairs on top will tickle my head if I don't have a hat on. So, I shave them off now.

I had a pony tail for years but, all them meds I take raise hell with my hair so, I cut it all off now to abot 1/2 inch and let grow out til it bothers me and cut again.

I am amazed that I got such nice examples for such cheep prices (each less than $20). A couple look like new!

I had a lot of thick hair when I was 25. By the time I was 40, it was mostly gone on top.

Managed to find a glass bottle for my aqua velva as well. Only issue is if I try to put the bottle restrictor in the lid will not properly seal, so I’ll just have to be careful when pouring some out for use after each shave.

I can't believe it's 1yr since you started Marine boot camp. What's happening and how are you doing?

Thank you Gary...this Clubman cream is great stuff-just need to play with it a bit to feel full confidence.

Tough week behind, what with my wife having a surgery in Boston. I am thankful for the time to regroup and reflect as I shave. All ended well and she is home recovering more and more every day!

This week's lineup is shown above. The Sabre with the Level 2 plate will keep my smooth on long workdays and the Level 1 plate will be for the days off relaxing shaves!
It has been since mid-January that I used any boar brush, and I am happy to break out the JR#431 with its Maggard premium boar knot for duties this week, alternating (maybe!) with a G5A knot in the Zombie Genes handle. And the soap is one that has been in my soap drawer consistently since January 2016, albeit not the same tub!

    SE Shave # 263

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Schick - Injector Type G
    Blade: Persona Injector
    Brush: Classic Shaving Silver Blue
Lather: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Aftershave: Floid Genuine
    Osage Rub
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel

First and foremost, Happy Father’s Day to all the fine Dad’s out there. I hope you had an enjoyable day with your offspring.

This morning’s shave was a duplicate in both set up and results of yesterday’s shave. The Type G razor just delivers a nice shave every time I reach for it.

I spent the morning splitting wood for about two hours. Following a nice warm shower I had a phenomenal shave. Smooth and refreshed which had me ready for time with the family.

I hope you all had a great day.

Thak you Joe. I suppose I could have used ANY of my cold-weather products today, but the Clubman did me well.
