It felt so good to use the Peppermint Latte soap and aftershave this morning and to enjoy that lovely espresso/peppermint scent. The soap’s tallow formula is so similar to Stirling’s formulas - in fact all of Fernando’s soaps are like that. The lather of this soap is so thick, rich, as well as super slick, the menthol sensation hits really hard especially on the second and third passes, and the skincare is brilliant. The Prep delivered beautifully on the additional postshave care, and the Peppermint Latte aftershave’s witch hazel formula feels so good - not to mention how frigid it is, and the scent lasts all day. What a wonderful three pass BBS shave this was!

Razor : Micromatic clog Pruf(Peerless model 17tooth)- Mfg 1945, mid range, well built to last, all brass + nice shave.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (9) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavada cream, nice mild lavender scent with excellent lather qualities. Great cream!
Brush : Yaqi Mountain lake 24mm 2band badger, excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice scrub, great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ach Brito Lavanda AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my MMCP with a coated Gem blade.

Here my belated Wednesday Shave (15.06.2022)


Razor: Merkur 34c // Blade: Gillette Wilkinson India // Soap: Calani Oriental Plum // Brush: Nightdiver´s Honeystick // Aftershave: Majestät

Great shave again. The Merkur 34c was the very first „quality“ razor in the beginning of my classic wetshaving career. My very first razor has been the Wilkinson Classic. As i bought the Wilkinson Classic back in the days 2012 i liked it very much. When i was familiar shaving with it i thought of buying a quality razor. My choice was the Merkur 34c. What a great choice. Since this point i was cought in the rabbit hole…

This shave reminded me of that time. Even today the Merkur 34c is a fantastic razor. Shaves gentle, smooth and thoroughly. The soap smelled wonderful and made the shave an amusement. It is a tragedy that Calani has gone out of business. Especially this scent is so amazing.

The brush had no problems whipping up a great lather. 3 joyful passes later i was very near BBS. I applied the Aftershave and was happy.

Belated shave from Sunday (19.06.2022)


Razor: Blackland Vector // Blade: KAI Captain Titan Mild // Soap: PAA Cold Spices // Brush: RazoRock 400 // Aftershave: Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve

Long time ago since i used the Vector the last time. Man, does this razor shave well. Gentle, smooth and precise. It is so easy maneuverable that it is a pure joy.

The soap smelled fantastic. My second PAA Soap but definitely not my last. The lather was fantastic. With the little bit of Menthol in it it was quite a bit cooling. The brush whipped up „tons“ of lather with only a 10 second load.

BBS in 3 passes. After the shave i used my Pinaud Clubman Special Reserve because i adore this scent.

Late evening shave today, with a Ukrainian made razor. This wonderfully made 8/8 inch razor smoothly wiped away 10 days of growth, in two passes. This left me with a BDBS results.

Razor- Gipson Razor "Alvaro". Ukraine
Brush- Rubberset 400 #4. Original boar knot.
Soap- Stirling Spicy
Aftershave- Florida Water. Because I just got back from Florida, last night.
