I thought he would name the chipmunk Alvin because of the Alvin and the Chipmunks reference. However, I just realized his cat is Theodore which is the namesake of one of the chipmunks. I guess if he did name the chipmunk Alvin, then he has to get a different pet and name it Simon. Lol!

I have a Weishi TTO razor that resembles a Gillette and it gives a nice shave too. Is Weishi from China?

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black injector with SE comb plate / Supply Black Label injector blade (7)
    Brush: Simpson Chubby 2 Synthetic
Soap: MWF in Kent beechwood bowl
Post: Rinse, alum, rinse, Portland General Store Black Willow Bark Toner

My last shave was last Monday according to my notes here, so I had a week-long stubble to mow down. Did one-pass-and-done with the injector to bring me back to a DFS smoothness. Alum was silent. The PGS toner is good for extra dryness in the skin when it is getting oily from the heat and humidity.

Overall, a very good fast shave.

The open comb Micromatic gave me a nice shave. 5th shave with the Persona single edge blade. Minor feedback from the alum bar. My first use of the Thayers toner with witch hazel and aloe. Very nice.

Razor - Micromatic open comb 5th use of Persona blade
Pre-shave - Proraso Blue cools the face
Soap - Mitchell's Wool Fat in my mug
    Brush - Simpson Trafalgar T3
After shave - Thayers Facial Toner & Pinaud Vanilla

I prepped my face by washing with Ivory bar soap and then hot washcloth to the face. Bloomed MWF with hot water and warmed bowl and brush too. Applied pre-shave and then poured off the water and loaded the brush while pushing soap into my lather bowl. Whipped in less than a minute to get tons of rich creamy lather. MWF is so nice smelling and slick for the shave. I could use it every day!

I did a 3-pass shave because I had plenty of lather but could have stopped at 2. WTG, ATG, and XTG. Minor cleanup. It was a very enjoyable shave but, the extra pass made for a bit of feedback from the alum! No cuts, nicks, or weepers.

The toner is very nice on the skin. I got unscented so I can use it every day with any scent soap or AS.
    Tomorrow it's the 1912 Star!

I hope all have a fine day!

That's got to be quite an efficient razor to the down a week's growth in one pass for a DFS. Have a great day John!

This morning's shave was one I'd like to have back. I did a 0:40 load..got a good amount of soap onto the brush. First pass was all right. Then............stuff happened. While moistening the brush for a second pass, I placed the soap next to the Aqua Velva. It didn't land properly-collided with the Aqua Velva, knocking it down and the cap came off spilling some onto the sink. Confusion hit me. After cleaning up the excess AV, I threw the razor into the trash....and suddenly realized, how about a 2nd pass. After looking things over and still being mad at my clumsiness, I just skipped the 2nd pass, asking myself, What just happened. I walked away still upset. First time in a long time I did just one pass with shave soap. It actually ended up ok in some areas, not so in others. I was simply thrown off stride by my clumsiness. I'll do better tomorrow. As for today-A Little Bit Excellent.

I have the same problem with a single pass. It just doesn't remove enuff below my jawline. That area need me to shave ATG to get close. One pass gets my cheeks and chin fairly close. My beard grows in the direction of all compass points!

    SRS # 709 - Gemini Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: C V Heljestrand 14. 7/8” Camel Bone Scales
Brush: Dogwood Handcrafts 26 mm Tuxedo
    Lather: Van Yulay Royal Oudh
Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Humphreys Cucumber Melon Witch Hazel

Wonderful Oud scent shave this morning. The sample of the Van Yulay Royal Oud will be completed by the end of the month as it has two shaves left in the sample container. The CV H razor delivered a smooth and comfortable three pass shave. The alum report was silent and the post shave routine outright fabulous. I am smelling good as I get ready to run errands with my mother this morning. This afternoon will feature some more Paul Bunyan activities as I get ready for the upcoming winter.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

My father asked me to post this from his phone. Yesterday he received what was supposed to be a routine series of injections of monoclonal antibodies. He had a very bad reaction to it and is currently in the ICU. He said that he would post again as soon as he is able. He’s not in a good way! Prayers would be appreciated. Stuff like this happens. I had my 5/8 Wostenholm straight fall from my counter and the scales broke. I was upset, but still used the razor to shave. I have to get the razor rescaled.
