Theodore doesn't watch me shave now that the house is opened up for summer. He is a bit peeved with me today. I have house closed up till it warms up. Rain today too. But, it's supposed to be warmer than the cold weekend was. It was 38 degrees F on Sunday morning here. Summer? Where is summer? It's not here. I'm not worried about 100 degrees here or even 90's. Won't happen and has not happened as long as I been back. This is the area I call, "The Great White North" Canada likes to hang out here and brings it's cold with it....

I learned the hard way not to whisk in the ceramic bowl over the sink.....it gets slippery! I dropped mine and broke it into many shards! I now have the puck in a mug with a BIG handle on it! :D

    Nice razor!;)

Thanks guys for the nice comments!

My shaves have been very good to excellent the past few months, but kind of boring. Heljestrand lather catcher last month and this month, Henckels Rapide the month before, Timeless SS .95 OC for the few months before. I have been wanting to get back into using straight razors so I sent a bunch of my straights out to be honed. Hopefully I get some of them back before the start of July. I think my July focus will be on straight razors, starting slowly. Maybe the first week or 2 a partial straight shave and finish with something else until I get the hang of shaving with a straight razor again. It's been about 5 years since I used one so I hope it's a little like riding a bicycle.

I was born here so, I have some attachment to the area. In winter, I get lake effect snow from the great lakes and the finger lakes

Looking forward to seeing your straight collection Ken. Every month I download at least one video of me shaving. This month it will be a shave with my Gillette Redtip. July is perfect because I will video a straight razor shave.
