I'm not sure how this happened, but "wet shaving" has suddenly become a hobby for me... And I inevitably found my way to the shave den! Like a lot of folks, I started with a Merkur 34C and a random shave soap from West Coast Shaving about a year ago. I still haven't been bold enough to get into straight razors, but have expanded my collection...

    Razors:
Karve Christopher Bradley SS - B&C base plates
    Merkur 34C
    Muhle R41
    Variety of "vintage" Gillette razors

    Brushes:
    3x WildWestBrushworks synthetic brushes
Heritage Collection Dubl Duck badger brush
West Coast Shaving Honeycomb synthetic brush
    Omega 599 Silvertip brush
    Sawdust Creations synthetic brush

    Soaps/Creams:
    Talbot Shaving Wild Flowers
    Talbot Shaving Frankenlime
    Talbot Shaving Old Burial Ground
    Talbot Shaving Cades Cove
    B&M Vespers
    B&M Beaudelaire
    Wholly Kaw Fougere Mania Tallow
    Wholly Kaw Double Agent Vegan
    Wholly Kaw Dulci Tobacco Cream
    Phoenix Shaving Droid Black CK-6
    Noble Otter Rawr

I've really come to enjoy the process of wet shaving... One of the challenges is knowing which soaps/creams to go with. A tub of soap can last you for a good while, and they aren't necessarily cheap, so you just hope you'll like the scent.

I'll continue to update, and thanks in advance for all the help and knowledge!

Welcome @tak555 . I;ve used two Texas-based soaps, Noble Otter isn't one of them, but it might be in the future.

    thank you all!

quick note on soaps... i ended up buying soap samples from https://maggardrazors.com/

it's not cheap, but at least it'll allow me to try different scents before i dive in with a 5oz tub!

i generally like all the soaps that i have purchased... except these:
    - B&M Vespers
    - Wholly Kaw Double Agent
    - Noble Otter Rawr

they aren't bad soaps, but the scents aren't my cup o tea
