My brother Jaco makes fabulous soaps also - most of them are glycerine based and they have awesome scents with great lather as well as excellent skincare. There are two versions of Cool as a Cucumber and this one is the X 3 variant which has a very high menthol content that’s comparable to the Stirling Glacial soaps. The scent of this soap is very nice - along with the cucumber you also get lots of peppermint, the lather explodes off the brush, the menthol sensation hits like a sledgehammer, and it’s so skin friendly. The Prep and the Rubby Dubby Doo were a perfect finish. Three passes gave me such a dynamite BBS shave which I enjoyed immensely!

Razor : Gem Junior bar- Mfg 1907-11, excellent tame mid range, very nice with a new Gem blade for a close shave, well built to test of time, very enjoyable audio feedback + it's like going back in time a little this morning with this razor.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(2) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Razorock Irish Country side, nice mild scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi Rainbow 26mm brown whiskers, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, great scrubber + excellent painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Proraso green with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Gem Jr bar with a coated Gem blade.

One day, I will find anice lather catcher at a decent price. The closest one I have to this is my Star 1912. LOUD feedback and very enjoyable shaver. Maybe sometime this month. I am working with the Hawk this month. Standard & the Open Comb plate.Standard plate is very nice with a Professional blade but, the OC needs taming. It is a BEAST!

Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap.
Brush: Anbbas 24mm Tuxedo synthetic.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl : Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Sticks. (grated)
Blade : Personna PTFE SS. (D3.)
Razor: Schick Type G Injector.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.3 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Original ASL./Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

Early morning shave.

Another wonderful performance from the Schick Injector.

The Palmolive classic shave stick/ P&G Old Spice ASL duo works so good together. Superb stuff!
An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.

The Tabac Shaving Soap lathered well with Bunny B-400 Badger Brush by Tom. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Tech Slant Razor with a Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Tabac AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

A great Syrian barbershop experience from this Hamol cream - my friend who’s a mechanic visited his family in Damascus a few years ago and he brought me back a couple of tubes of this lovely cream - the scent is so nice, it lathers like crazy, it has a mild but very pleasant menthol sensation, and it’s so skin friendly. This cream is so popular in Syrian barbershops and it’s apparently very cheap over there. The Prep felt so good when I massaged it on, and the Floid Vigoroso aftershave’s beautiful scent made me smell and feel like I just stepped out of a barbershop over here. The Wilkinson Sword blade is pretty much kaput now but I managed to get one last hoorah from it with a great three pass BBS shave!

A nice lather catcher is the Gem Junior bar (tame mid range) and that one is a nice daily driver also. They are also more plentiful and are not that pricey IMO. Gem sold a lot of them because they worked well for folks at that time line. With a new blade they are just wonderful and very rewarding for myself to have a few of them.

Razor : Ever-ready 1912, made in England later model 1912-Mfg 1936-53, excellent mid range, very gripey handle with the raised corners, Proven razor for over 100 years of use by ordinary folks, state of the art manufacturing for it's time line.
Blade : Gem SS PTFE (3) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood, nice Bayrum scent(some clove) with excellent lather qualities, different lather foam but excellent protection when the blade hits the face IMO.
Brush : Yaqi Robin 24mm boar bristle, excellent lather generator, soft spilt end bristle hairs, nice scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala Bayrum & Sandalwood(some clove) + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results :CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my Ever-ready 1912 with a coated Gem blade.(one of those shaves it does not get better!)
