My shave's throughout the week with the Schick Type G/ Personna PTFE SS blade duo have all been close & comfortable...In my next week's SOTD's i will be using the Gem Featherweight.
If i had the choose a vintage SE razor as a daily shaver then a Schick injector would be it.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

I always get such a nice shave from the Star 1912. Today was no exception. Second use of the GEM SS blade.

Soap continues to be the MWF and today I blended a dollop of Proraso White cream to the lather bowl before whipping cream in as well and whipping both to a nice rich lather for this 3-pass shave.
    Pre-shave was Proraso white
Being throw-back Thursday, I also used the old "Perfecto" brush that I revived and brought back from the brink of the trash. It has stopped losing hairs.
After-shave is Thayers Aloe & Witch Hazel, Proraso balm, and a splash of Pinaud Clubman.

This 3-pass shave was really pleasant. WTG, ATG, XTG left me BBS. It is so nice running my fingers over the face after the second pass. SO smooth!
Alum bar raised zero feedback for a most enjoyable shave.

Back to the Hawk tomorrow. I may try a mild blade again or the ProGuard blade.

I hope all had a very nice shave to start the day! :)

Well, this morning's Throwback Thursday "episode" could have been better. I went too hard-best review I can give. Actually, let me add "down South". While the cheeks&sideburns turned out great, I had a variation of Knicks and Polka-Dots on Porcupine and Cactus, with one cut at North Cactus. I was hoping the cold-water rinse and Skin Bracer would help, and they did for some of my damage. 2 passes. I should have gone for a third, as there was enough soap on the Stoylin to do so. Well, it's my biggest brush so that's how it SHOULD be, right? I like that I put on a lot of the Skin-Bracer. Gives me a nice scent to work with for the day. I should say, none of the damage was painful...good sign for what I have to say is a Pretty Excellent shave.

I really wonder what the COLDEST shave product is. We hear so much about Cryogen, but many other artisan companies have their own version of freezing.

Cryogen is the coldest because it has the highest concentration of menthol of any product. It's true because Chiseled Face can't make a scented soap with that amount of menthol per their website. Apparently, the high concentration of Cryogen overtakes any scent.

Nice shave! I think I’m leaning towards the ST plate. I’ll dry a different blade for the next few shaves.
    Have fun.

Excellent shave Brian. I guess that razor with the HA plate really must be aggressive. I wonder if anyone would dare shave with a Feather in it. Have a nice day.
