Tue 12th July Though I like The Claymore Evolution and the way it Shaves, I have been taken by the looks of the Razor Handle just arrived from Canada. The Timeless TI Crown Handle.
Not my typical sort of aquisitions, but the price was really too good to pass up, and the Rolls was in very good condition. To be fair, Rolls usually are in pretty good shape when found. The Gillette lather shave cream is nearly unused (and probably unusuable without damaging the tube further), though galvanic corrosion has damaged the tube and box. I bought it more for display anyways. The shaving cream tube and booklet in addition to the box was just a nice bonus. Total spent, $35.
Wednesday mail call is a vintage, British made Gillette Aristocrat Junior from I believe 1949. I was the only one to bid on this baby. It has a flat bottom with Brit pat 430030 written on it.
Just got a large bottle (12.5oz or 400ml) of Floïd The Genuine aftershave. It smells like classic barbershop. I love it.
It's a 1948-49 Aristocrat Jr. No. 49 "The Popular Model." Shares the same head as the No. 21 Aristocrat. As @brit said, "nice shaver."
Picked up a gold Krona yesterday for 12 bucks. Didn't need another one but I couldn't just leave it on the store shelf.
This one needs a bit of explaining. I originally ordered the TOBS Platinum set. It was an option, although it was titled for the Sandalwood collection. When it arrived, it was the wrong item. The item is a Lacquered wood box with Sandalwood cream and badger brush, it is nice. It wasn't even an item on the description. I contacted Walmart and sent pics of the Platinum set I originally ordered. Well, I was shocked, they are refunding the money and not one mention to return it, no shipping label in email............
