1. Definitely, it feels like a heavier grind than it is but it’s more than that - and very easy to work with :)

  2. Le Grelot user grade with a nice fresh kiita edge. Cream was SMN lathered with an Omega Jade and a splash of Myrsol Formula K finished up a great hot weather shave.

  3. The last shave was with perhaps my best shaving razor. This one with my best looking one. Near wedges are always a challenge for me. Sometimes very smooth and sometimes they leave stubble behind. Today was a bit of both. But the end result was face rubbing worthy :happy036:

  5. The 6/8 Old Dutch with a hoard kitta edge was up and shaved fantastically. Soap was Yardley lathered with a Simpsons Keyhole 2, and SMN Lavande topped off another great shave.

  9. Newly acquired, restored, and honed. I had a very rushed, 1 pass shave, that gave a DFS result. It would have been better, but I was late for work, and already had a few days growth on the face. This was a very very smooth shaving razor, considering the rush. Zero issues. I'm going to give it another go, very soon.

  10. Spent a wonderful week away from work up in Canada… gorgeous, and great to visit again.

Prior to leaving used this Maher & Grosh “The Jockey Razor” with a beautiful AdP scented Fine Italian Citrus.

Cool Russian doll set up where the loom strop handle holds the brush (and the brush holds CrOx), the handle stores by threading on the inside of the frame, and finally the razor tucks around that.

  17. 6/8 Le Grelot 355 Sheffield Steel, soap and AS were vintage Yardley and a Keyhole 3 did the lathering.

The kiita hone is one of Alex’s hoard stones that he selected for me. I’ll pass on a bit of wisdom here, If Alex G sends you a message that says something like ‘I’ve selected a stone for you and set it aside’, the correct response is ‘Send it on!’. Incorrect responses include ‘What is it, how big is it, what color is it, and how much is it?’
