Sunday Schick shave, July10th 2022 Razor : Schick i2 injector with the hydro-magic feature- Mfg 1954-57, nice tame mid range, easy to work the face, I like the Hydro magic feature my self. Blade : Personna SS PTFE(5) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Soap : Razorock lime, nice mid range lime scent + excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi Dandelion 24mm Cashmere knot, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, gentle scrubber + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Razorock Blue barber with witch hazel+ a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers=Excellent shave with my Schick i2 injector with s coated Personna blade. Have some great shaves!
Today I went for a quick cleanup with the Schick type D. Lather via vintage Williams whipped up with a Rubberset 400 with a Zenith Boar knot. Not pictured is the Aqua Velva 5 in 1 balm and Aqua Velva Classic Ice Blue.

Rather nice to know that a Shave is going to be a good one, that is why I again chose to use The Evo - it really works for me. Wonder how it will work with another handle that I have ordered, having been attracted by its looks on an Evo on SOTD.

SE SOTD, Tuesday, July12th 2022 Razor : Valet Auto-strop C1 model, Canadian variant- Mfg 1920's, built during the roaring 1920's, great design for its time, I resurrected this razor because I wanted to try some repairs from the previous owner who was rough on this beautiful razor. The gap was changed from 11/1000 to 7/1000 gap of inch for a much smoother shave. Very easy razor to use once blade loaded IMO. Blade : Gem modified SS PTFE(6) this blade still works in the Valet Auto-strop C 1 series razor with spline removed and sniped in corners of blade. Soap : Razorock blue barber- nice mid range scent with excellent lather qualities. Brush : Yaqi Panda 24mm tuxedo knot, excellent lather generator, nice scrub, cloud like soft tips + excellent lather painter. Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area. Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups. Post shave : Fine fresh Vetiver with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless). Results :CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Valet auto strop C1 with a Modified Gem blade Have some great shaves!
Tue 12th July Omega 11126 boar MWF TNNSER- 3D Gem S/S ( ? ) Pitralon Classic A/S Lotion Not at all sure of the age of the blade, but clearing 2 days growth was rather uncomfortable. However, there were no mishaps and the finish OK for a Supermarket visit. The MWF produced a great Lather which probably helped the Shave from being a lot worse comfort wise.
